Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Small and pricey, but well worth it.I came in on a Tuesday evening around 7:30 and since I was dining solo, they were able to seat me immediately at the bar. Liz was an absolute delight the entire evening. She acknowledged everyone the moment they walked in even if she was busy with another guest, smiling kindly the entire time. She delivered entrees, assisted waitstaff, and even made and served cocktails behind the bar. I was extremely impressed with her attitude and enthusiasm. The drinks were great and I highly recommend the boozy lemonade (can’t recall the exact name) very refreshing and tasty. I also ordered the French Martini, which was just ok. All of the food was delicious. It doesn’t seem like you can go wrong there. There was very talented entertainer singing Sinatra covers and taking requests. All in all a wonderful dining experience that I highly recommend.
For the last two years we’ve spent our anniversary in Fredericksburg. Both times we had our anniversary dinner at Martini’s, sitting at the bar, being served by Sterling. He makes the best Dirty Martini and Bloody Mary out there. The food is absolutely amazing and this year we enjoyed the Lobster Bisque, the Lobster Roll (or the lobster sandwich as my wife calls it), and the Mussel Pot. Part of the charm of this place is its size, but that means you’ll likely have to wait for a seat. Don’t worry, give them your phone number then wander down Main Street while you wait.
I believe this is the only seafood restaurant in Fredericksburg. We waited 1.5 hours since the restaurant was very tiny and they don’t have a lot of tables. Let me tell you, it was totally worth the wait!! My hubby had to restrain me from ordering everything on the menu since it all looked so good. I love everything seafood. All the dishes we tried came out tasting super fresh and seasoned well. Also, they had live music. My first time to hear Diego Martino sing and his voice is heavenly and the band was great! We will definitely come back next time we are in town.
When you look at the menu, you think I want a little of this and a little of that… the seafood tower is the way to go, make sure to upgrade your oysters to the PEI & Blue Points, it is ALL WORTH IT. The crab was probably the best I’ve ever had, so sweet and fresh!! The lobster is divine and the shrimps a welcome friend. The cocktails are the Bluebonnet and Mexican Julep; The bluebonnet is like the best pink lemonade you’ve ever had and the horseshoe cocktail pick is too cute accompanied by two snug blackberries! The mint julep was like drinking the freshest blackberries juice you’ve ever had with your favorite tequila. We also ordered the oyster shooter (vodka, oyster, cocktail sauce) it was the only thing lacking, the vodka needs to be chilled and this would’ve made a whole different impression. Overall though it was straight fantastic.
Great seafood and service! We stopped in after doing a wine tour around 6pm. I was expecting a wait, but luckily we were seated immediately. Our waitress gave really good recommendations for cocktails based on a unique liquor my fiance spotted on the shelf. As for food, we ordered the mussel and clam pot and the seafood tower with a side of asparagus to share. I'd skip the asparagus next time considering it was such a tiny portion for the price. The mussels and clams came out first and it was outstanding. Then the seafood tower came out and it was bigger than I had pictured it being. It could have easily fed another person. Completely worth the price considering how much food was on it! I'd definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for excellent seafood.
Worth it’s price! This seafood restaurant sets the standard for oysters and their lobster roll was amazing. The drinks were well made, and the staff worked diligently. The experience here is good investment of time and money for visitors.
We stopped here for an early dinner/late lunch. It was so delicious. We did take our two children in, though there is no children's menu, I didn't feel uncomfortable having them there. The kids had macaroni and cheese and shrimp scampi. The drinks are good and unique. And everything we ordered was excellent!
This is a great little restaurant/bar off of Main Street. We visited on Tuesday early evening and there was a solo piano player which really made the atmosphere. I would recommend popping in and having a drink or two with some appetizers at the bar. If we were more hungry, I would have liked to try the seafood tower.
Decent food, you do NOT get what you pay for here, but it was good. The seafood tower was 110 and came with small precooked/thawed frozen food. Crab clusters and lobster tails were tiny. The shrimp was decent. Oysters were the best part (shucked right up front). Also had an oyster shot with Tito's that was very good.
If you want fine dining with amazing food and service, this is the place. The Vesper Martini made by Cody and my wife's new old fashion made by Sterling was the best. We had the surf and turf and a dozen oysters. They were delectable. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. This place is on the pricey side so if you are expecting large portions at Golden Coral prices you are in the wrong restaurant. If you want excellent service and willing to pay for the quality cuisine and ambience, then you are in the right place.
