Asked about internet speed prior to booking since I'd be working from the hotel. Was assured it was very good. It wasn't. I spent hours on the phone with techs just to get a nearly adequate speed. There was what appeared to be black mold in our bathroom. The one washing machine in the building was out of order. The front desk said they were waiting on parts which are on backorder. Can't someone purchase a washer? It's not rocket science. I am not clear as to why laundry is offered or why I paid for this amenity when it is not provided. The offered solution from front desk was that I drive to a laundry mat. No apology. Nothing but blank stares and and shrugs. The front desk attendants should perhaps reevaluate their careers in hospitality, as they are not very polite and are definitely not problem-solvers.Ridiculously over-priced.The cleaning staff were excellent.
I just got done paying over $400 a night for a basic room at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Fredericksburg, Texas. I was extremely disappointed. After paying this ridiculous amount and after specifically requesting that I wanted daily housekeeping, I came back to the room before dinner early Saturday evening to find my room uncleaned. I called the front desk to report the problem, and the representative said housekeeping was already gone, so they would not be able to clean the room. He did say that he would come up to clean my room while I was at dinner and replace the towels. I came back after dinner to of course not find this done either. Covid is on the downtrend, so we need to start cleaning rooms again each day for multiple overnight stays. It is time to start working again and stop making excuses, especially at over $400 a night. I could have stayed in the Ritz in Dallas for that price. The water was also not that hot throughout my stay. The front desk said there was nothing they could do. I asked to talk to a manager, and he said none were there.
The reason for the 3 ?is me bed I hated, it is hard. Now if you like a firm bed you will love it.I also don't like if you book through a third party like booking.com the hotel can't change the reservation even though you are standing in front of them. The handicap rooms are on the bottom floor so your view is the cars that are in the parking lot. And the bathroom sink is too high. I would have loved to have had a balcony but the balcony rooms would have been harder for me with my wheelchair. The room I stayed in was very large so very easy for me to get around in my chair. We were also right at an exit so very convenient. It is a very nice room and hotel. The staff was great. The man we talked with went above and beyond. I don't know his name but he was training a lady. We checked in on February 16th around 5pm. He needs a raise. Very helpful. They have firepit that I loved. The location is perfect.
The hotel is a bit run down, but the cleanliness of our room was disgusting. Not worth the $350 per night. Room bathroom was nasty, mildew all around the bottom and top of the shower, toilet and floor area. The beds are extremely awful. The most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. The pillows are awful. Expected much better!

Spacious, clean, functional rooms. Excellent outdoor area. Easy walk to the downtown historic district. Very close to the National Museum of the Pacific War (Nimitz Foundation). Rooms have a work area, mini fridge, and microwave. Lobby has coffee 24/7, but it was fresh only in the mornings.
Great service and clean room. Also a great breakfast. Very friendly personnel. Defective coffee accessories packets and old used postcards in welcome packet.
I had forgotten my shaving cream so I went downstairs to get a complimentary can of shaving cream like they give at all Hilton hotels and only to find out they wanted to charge me $2.00 it's not the $2.00 that made me upset it was that they were so cheap that they wanted to charge me.I called Hilton guess services and they made a call to they front desk and they said I could come down and pickup a complimentary can of shaving cream, to late I will never stay at this hotel again.
Although the staff was amazing and customer service was excellentThe room I was in was unremarkable and the mattress felt like it was made of rocks, the pillows were very soft, so it took 3 to 4 pillows to provide a semblance of good dsupport. The TV remote was not in a sleeve of plastic and I didn't know if it was sanitized or if the room was a COVID-19 sanitized room using CDC protocolsI am a disabled veteran and when I requested a room that was used for disabled customers, the shower tub combo was not modified enough to use because it had 1 bar to assist my stability to enter the the tub which had a very high lip to step over, additionally there was no seat and I was unable to wash my knees, legs or feet.
Clean, comfortable room. Good breakfast and plenty of parking space. Staff courteous and helpful. Location is excellent. Easy walking to shops, restaurants and museum.
