Spent the day with my daughters in love at Grape Creek Vineyard and it was a beautiful experience. It was my first visit but now I know why my son picked this gorgeous place to propose last year. We are looking forward to many more visits as members and future wine. Thank you , Eve for an amazing tasting experience for our girls day!
The tour was wonderful. The wine is really good. I would say there was something very off-putting on the front end. Didn’t feel friendly, felt like they were doing me a favor for letting me be here. The restrooms for guests is on the far side of the parking lot and visitors are not allowed to use the member restrooms that are right by the entry for tours and tastings. Members were provided water but others had to request water. Temps were in the high 90s and they acted put out that I asked for a bottle of water. They need to do a much better job on their welcome. Unless they’re trying to feel exclusive which is rude. Slow start to the tour, less than dynamic. But things warmed up and the guide was very knowledgeable and provided good information. By the time we reached the tasting, our sommelier Kalene Lambert was awesome. We ended up signing up for wine club (it’s free to join) and staying for lunch. Delicious. And we picked up a few bottles to go.

While I have nothing to compare Grape Creek Vineyards to, I think I made an excellent choice on this one! We did the Tour and tasting with Dan Gallini! He was EXCELLENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY and a GREAT wine ambassador! I absolutely loved the history of Grape Creek and the wine making process! The ambience, the facility and grounds were better than I expected! Our tour started at 4 pm so we didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy the patio and small bites, but will definitely be visiting tomorrow before heading back to Houston! Just an all around wonderful experience!!

My Aunt and Uncle were coming into town, this was their first time in San Antonio. We went to Grape Creek Vineyard in Fredericksburg and did a vineyard tour. I don’t drink wine but I still had to pay the full prince for the tour and I understand. I was the photographer for my Aunt and Uncle. Our Tasting Ambassador was Dan Galllini and he had a lot of information he shared with us. We didn’t join the membership due to my Aunt and Uncle living in Kentucky and they do not deliver in Kentucky. After our vineyard tour, we looked in the gift shop, which had some nice items and then left. I heard the food was good but we were still hungry from brunch so we went on a driving tour of Fredericksburg and then returned to San Antonio.
I took my husband to this vineyard on his birthday to experience wine tasting and he absolutely loved it. It was a nice vineyard located on the hill country. Wine collections were so good and authentic. Our host treated us well and it was a fun experience.If you want their wine to be delivered home on a regular basis, they do have membership plans.PS - Wine tasting experience cost is $30 per person.
Danny is the by far my favorite tour guide !!! Greg is also amazing as well. Danny is super knowledgeable, funny and simply enthusiastic about wine and giving us a good time !!
Fantastic winery! I'm not so much into wine like my wife is but I enjoyed every tasting I had. Laurie, our tasting host, was knowledgeable about all of their wines. She recommended 10 different wine tastings and I liked every one of them. We ended up joining and getting a membership to have wine shipped 5 months out of the year. We'll be back soon but until then we'll enjoy the bottles we took home.
To start, all the staff was super nice & accommodating. Greg was a great guide durning our tour! He was very knowledgeable, accommodating & sweet. The wine was also really really good. We also had lunch after. We had such a good time. Def will be back
Laurie Mayfield was the best!! She was so fun and informative. The wine is amazing. Laurie was so knowledgeable and got us excited about learning about each wine. She is the best!! I would and will definitely request her again next time we go to the grape creek winery.
