The Korean style ribs are to freaking die for. If I add the money to eat here everyday I absolutely would. I'd also recommend the prime brisket, I'm usually not a fan of brisket but eakers brisket is fantastic. Also the Mac and cheese is Insane, they go absolutely nuts with the cheese. I work at the Fairfield Inn here in Fredericksburg and I recommend this place to our guests anytime I get the chance.
It was amazing. We tried their brisket sandwich and sausage. The atmosphere was inviting and the family owned business was supper nice. Husband even got a small tour of the huge pits their amazing meats are cooked on. Will definitely visit again. It's away from the bussyness of the shops and large crowds but close enough as not to discourage you from going down those two extra blocks.
Their Mac and Cheese is the bomb!!! And, the service is great.
Not knowing what to expect I had my expectations a little low, and WOW they blew me away. I had to thank the owner Lance Eakers after and he was super nice and talked to us about his pits and wood choice.Brisket is King here in Texas and Eakers is hard to beat! You better like pepper because he goes all out, but it was so wonderful. Perfectly rendered fat, incredible bark, tender and juicy meat, it was just so wonderful. I can’t leave out the 1.5 pound beef rib, WOW. Just WOW ! The sides were good, especially the cream corn and had some other interesting choices. This is a top 4 BBQ restaurant on the planet for me. This place is worth traveling for.
Big BBQ fan and this is one of the best BBQ places I’ve been to. Also best cream corn! Brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and both style of sausages were excellent! Highly recommend trying this hidden gem! Sweet owners who work hard to bring this delicious food out.
Eaker BBQ is the best BBQ in Fredericksburg, and it's not close. The Korean fusion foods are a huge cherry on top making a stop here a BBQ eaters' dream! ALL of the meats are smoked on the 2 big pits you see through the windows when you walk in the door, and they are all great, but the brisket, turkey, and pulled pork are the best I've ever had. Not to be outdone, the regular pork and gojuchang ribs are fantastic and have visitors from all over planning their next trip eat here before they even walk out the door! Every single one of the 6-8 sides are made in house by Boo and are fantastic! My personal favorites are the creamed corn, Mac and cheese, borracho beans, and kimchi fried rice, but the Korean sides of kimchi and cucumber salad are absolute crowd pleasers. If you're a desert person, they've got you covered with all in house made items. Lemon cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and pecan pie bars are oh so good, but I do not leave that place without Boo's adult version of Banana pudding...it's phenomenal!! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, they have quite a few beers to choose from as well. All in all, it's my favorite place to eat when I'm in Fredericksburg. One last thing, if I may. Lance and Boo Eaker have gone all in on this adventure of a lifetime to give their patrons the best dining experience possible. They and their staff are amazing!!
Was actually looking forward to going to Fredericksburg and eating here because of the need of a good bbq restaurant in this part of Texas. Wasn't disappointed. All the proteins were very well smoked and tender. Also wanted to try the Asian seasonings on the ribs, having never had this type of smoked rib. While it was delicious I didn't care for the heat to the taste. Although I'm sure some people will like it. I guess I'm to much of a bbq traditionalist. Brisket was top notch. And the sausage was just a little above average. Again the sides were a little to hot for me but that's the way I ordered it, so that's on me. Had a great time talking to the owner for a few minutes. Great guy. He's really trying hard to make Eaker's a go to place. Will go back.
The NICEST people, YUM food, cute place. We will absolutely be back!Had a sampling of brisket, turkey, ribs, pork belly (special of the day) and sides. Sides were beans, mac n cheese, potato salad and cream corn. They were deliciously homemade and so good! We are nearly every morsel! We sat outside at the provided picnic tables. Gorgeous day! Walked the town afterward. Cannot wait to come again.Thank you for the great service & food! ??. You earned your spot on the Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ spots in Texas!See you back in Austin when you visit! Lol
1st time here at this place I'm highly recommend it it's worth it I accidentally ran into this spot it was a good place to get stranded at... I'll be back soon for more food
Deb and I took a motorcycle ride to experience Eaker's and were certainly not disappointed. We split 1/2lb of the Brisket and two of their Korean pork ribs plus sides of the Korean salad,Kimchi and Cole Slaw. The Brisket could be cut with a fork and the Korean ribs were really tasty. The sides were as good as the mains. Happy to say that Eaker's is now on our list with a big ??
