Our favorite date place. Ate there last night for maybe the 10th time and once again had one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The sushi was melt-in-your-mouth good, the steak was perfection and the Chilean Sea Bass was crispy, flaky goodness. Already looking forward to going back.
Really surprised by the cuisine at August E’s… really nice atmosphere for socializing. Food was prepared to perfection, with superb plating. Wild Game Trio is a really good choice… Venison Loin perfectly prepared at Med-rare. Staff very personable and attentive to our needs. Lastly, really good bar staff and wine selection.
Wow! Lobster Macaroni and Cheese was soooo good! Sushi was great too. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Only one block off Main St so very convenient. Service was really good. Staff was very attentive. Didn’t have a reservation but they were able to accommodate our party of 4.
Over priced and bad service. We made reservations for a Friday night and they charge a $10 per person refundable deposit. It took over 20 minutes for the server to greet the table only after we asked someone for our server. Ordered the petite filet for $42 and it was nothing special. The sides were lobster mac n cheese which was great, the mashed potatoes which weren't good and the risotto which wasn't good either. The decor was nice but looks more like a pop up shop. For the price and service I wouldn't go back.
It was a great dining experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and accommodating. They are down to earth, not stuffy. The food is OMG good. I had the New York strip with lobster Mac and cheese and it was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The creme brulee cheesecake was literally the perfect dessert. This dinner was perfect for my birthday. I can't wait to travel here again to visit.

Good quality ingredients but the execution of the dishes is not what you would expect from a “fine dining” establishment. The flavors are just not there and the ingredients combination are questionable.Interiors are uninspiring. The price is steep for the overall quality.
My husband and 2 sons ate at August Es this past weekend and the food was simply outstanding. We have eaten at some of the finest restaurants in the U.S. and our kids and husband ranked August Es as one of the best in the Quality of Food Category. The Lamb Chops and Steaks were the Best. Simply Outstanding! Anyone who rates this restaurant at anything less than 5 stars does not know anything about fine dining! August Es staff and Chefs, we have eaten at your restaurant for years and you are never less than 10 Stars! Thank you!
We both had a salad and sushi. Food and service were great. The dining room is a bit large and open for me but we still had a wonderful meal.
Had an very enjoyable meal tonight, our first time at this up-market venue a block off Main St - great food and excellent service from Tiffany - in the main dining room. Helene had a Caesar Salad followed by swordfish, and I had a crab cale followed by a trio of wild game (Red Deer, Quail, and Wild Boar jalapeño sausage) with a side of lobster mac & cheese. Portions were large (enough for me to take some mac & cheese and a sausage home), and everything was perfectly prepared and presented. We will definitely go again!
