Great atmosphere and vibe. Huge speakeasy vibes, but that's what you want at a place called The Basement. Great country music playing all day long at the heart of the stockyards.

Interesting venue, but wasn't very busy when we went. We weren't overly impressed but would be interested to see how it is during the more busy evening hours. Decent frozen drinks for a good price. Bathrooms are a bit rough, but might be the vibe they're going for.

Very cute. But incredibly hot. They have a fan in the corner but I was sweating the entire time. Dance floor is also pretty small. It was just extremely crowded as well. Maybe they need to limit the capacity or something.Update: Maybe learn to take some constructive criticism about your bar and not respond to every negative review in a poor manner. It makes you look bad. I just stood in your bar, never moved except to walk inside, get a drink, and then had to stay in one place, couldn't move because of how packed it was. So, I wouldn't blame kinetic energy. There was absolutely no hint of cool air anywhere in that bar as far as I could tell. World's smallest honkey tonk with the world's rudest management, I'd say. ✌️

Bar smelled like urine to the point that my friends and I had literal tears in our eyes. Didn’t help that it felt like it was 100° in there, emphasizing the smell. Management is a joke and has no customer service skills AT ALL. Just don’t come here, go literally anywhere else.

If I had the ability to give them a -star I would. My husband is a veteran and has a service Dog....we walked in to meet some friends from the Fort Worth Area. Before even sitting down the bartender was wave her hand at us. I walked over and she said that we could not have the dog in here...I said he is a service dog...she said it doesn't matter my manager said no animals/dogs and there are other bars that we could go to. I responded that is illegal and I can produce all documents. She again said it doesn't matter and we had to leave, she also stated that the bar is older and that they could not afford the liability. I said, what? that doesn't make any sense....what does the age of the building have to do with anything. Honestly, me getting a lawyer, could cause a bigger issue for them. Instead of causing a scene, we left and waited for our friend outside. Please know that my husband served this country for 22 years and having this service dog helps his PTSD. I myself have never been so angry...I felt, I should have video tap this young lady and what she was telling me along with getting her manager/owner on the phone and explain how illegal it is to tell us to leave. Instead I decided to tell everyone how they treat veterans with a service dog. Please note we did go somewhere else, the White Elephant and had a fabulous time...so if you are in that area don't go the the Basement Bar they dont need veterans $$..go to the White Elephant they treat our service members with respect.

This is a great place for a Saturday night at the Stockyard. It's a good mix of music and no cover charge. One of my go to spots.

It was alot of fun! I went on a night when it was slow and it was just what I needed. The bartender was attentive and patrons were all having a blast. There were quite a few regulars....

Great little dive bar. Was a little slow on a Monday night but great staff and fun environment.

Not as good as I remember it. Place smells like a urinal. Bartender tried to make fun of me for my choice of booze. Probably not smart to make fun of your customers

Horrible experience. I was there with a night out with my niece and her friends. I'm a person with disabilities and the employees in this bar treated me with disrespect when they denied me a chair to sit in. I will not ever recommend this place to anyone.
