I came here to try some tripa tacos since most places didn’t have tripa that day. The service was good, they were friendly. The environment inside is good. The tacos were not bad! The tripas were a little too crunchy but the taste was good. The barbacoa was also really good. I would definitely come here again!

Horrible and rude service! We have come to Taqueria San Andres on Magnolia on several occasions, even had our mom's birthday party there once. Always a very pleasant experience with great service and delicious food but today was definitely not the same. I don't know if management has changed but it's definitely not the same. My sisters and I decided to take our mom out to lunch for Mexican Mother's Day and we opted for this restaurant since it's one of our favorite. Service started off bad and ended worse by the end of the meal. We arrived and it was 20 minutes before we finally had our order taken but ONLY after we asked if someone can take our order. I'd understand if everyone else had to wait as well but a table of men arrived after us and they were tended to almost immediately. Fast forward to getting our food. One of my sisters ordered Tortilla Soup. She ate very little of it and I had a spoon of broth to taste it and we agreed it was definitely not good. It was soggy from the tortillas and just looked like mush. We've never sent food back but today was filled with many firsts. She tells the waitress she did not like the soup to which the waitress apologized and asked what she'd like instead. My sister opted for a small caldo de rez like mine. Well she only had a few bites and I only had about 8 spoons of broth so we both asked for 2 to-go cups for our caldo. After we poured them into the cups we had space on top so I asked the waitress what she would charge me for just broth in both cups and nothing else. She disappeared into the kitchen with both our cups. Something to keep in mind is that both my sister and I had a gastric sleeve done so our food intake is minimal so even if we wanted to eat more, we can't physically do it. Mine especially because I recently had it done on 5/2 so I can only tolerate a few ounces of liquid. Moving on to checking out. I didn't receive a receipt but the cashier looked over at our table and said oh yeah and charged by memory I guess. My mistake was not questioning her at that moment to make sure we were on the same page. I paid and added tip but requested a print out of my receipt because the total seemed fairly high. She gave it and immediately walked away. She charged me for the Tortilla Soup and THREE caldos. After questioning them they said the Tortilla Soup was almost empty which was NOT true. Also, if that was the case then why did the waitress ask what my sister wanted INSTEAD if she saw an almost empty plate. They didn't consider the tortillas would get soggy which in turn would lessen the volume of the soup? I then asked why she charged me for 3 caldos and she said the cups were almost empty and they had to fill them up. Also not true. I even reminded them I only asked for broth and nothing else. Also how could they be almost empty if I didn't eat any of it with the exception of broth and only about 8 spoons if that. I asked how they could charge for an entire caldo if they didn't even give us the meat or veggies that come with the caldo. Again she wouldn't budge and VERY condescending. She then agreed to only refund me one of the caldos but in turn they'd have to take our cups back and remove the broth they added. It's not like I was asking for free broth. I asked how much for extra broth because I expected to pay but had I been told it was full price then I would have kindly turned it down. They did as they said they would and returned our cups with the extra broth removed. We expressed our disappointment and told them we would never return because we've never had to deal with this type of service in this establishment with the previous staff. She rudely said "ok, sorry" and walked away. What was supposed to be an enjoyable mother's day meal turned out to be a very unpleasant experience. We definitely won't be going back.

99 cent taco's are the bomb ?

First time in this establishment and I was actually impressed with the flavor of those little beef tacos. They still had a little fat which gave them more flavor. I’m not sure if they offer flour tortillas. Mi e were served with corn and I’m just not a huge corn tortilla lover ?. Overall greatness!
