It almost literally pains me to submit this review. My wife and I have been Spiral customers since the days when it was a small stand in the old Santa Fe market. Always delicious and this consistency in food quality always made up for the spotty service. Until yesterday (Memorial Day). We were told by the woman working the host station it would be about 10 minutes until our outside table was cleaned and ready. No worries. After 10 minutes, the woman goes out and cleans our table off..kind of..and comes back in. Ok..we're almost there. Meanwhile, she is very busy getting tables ready for online reservations and chatting in the kitchen. 10 more minutes click by. I find her bussing tables in the main dining room and ask how much longer. "About 10 minutes." I asked her to take our names off the list and we went elsewhere. What is hard to convey here is the icy attitude I received. I get it..it's a Holiday and you're short staffed. Just tell me the truth. Let me know you're working on getting us a table instead of ignoring us for twenty minutes.
Ok, so I really like Spiral Diners Nachos and pancakes. Which is what I get 90% of the time. Today was no difference. But my pancakes on 1 side was cooked a bit too long so 1 side was soft and fluffy the other was flat and hard. Flavor was still there though. So I will still be nice and give 4 stars! Excuse the photos we were hungry.. lol
This is my second time to eat here. Pictured is the Triple Double + bacon. Excellent! The Big Kahuna is superb as well. I’m not vegan and not easily impressed with restaurants. Spiral Diner is the exception.
Great Vegan choice if you're in the area. Fresh and filling though not stuffed feeling vegan options with a massive menu all moderately priced.
Everything was delicious! Great atmosphere, great service, great food. Second visit and it was even better than the first time. ?

Good vegan experience with cheerful service. Their Gumbo was good, albeit heavy and a bit oily. My friend enjoyed their dessert options, including their Oreo shake. Small wait, so I'd reserve a spot and plan to walk around the nice area while you wait
Love all of the fantastic vegan options. Everything is always so fresh and flavorful. If you’re looking for a great spot to eat and not feel guilty after this is definitely the spot. Desserts here are also amazing. Try everything on the menu!
Recently dined here for lunch and the staff was not quite on top of things. The menu was missing some items we used to enjoy and I was very surprised that there were no gluten-free bread options. Our server did tell us that a new menu was in the works. I certainly hope so!
I loved the special grilled cheese options they had available for the month of January The staff is usually nice & receptive, been here at least 10 times! The food is always consistent. I have a nice visit every time. Obsessed with the Sweet potato grilled cheese that is always on the menu. My favorite grilled cheese was the fig jelly and apple special, I hope they keep it! This is definitely the vegan:vegetarian restaurant you should visit in DFW/ hands down.
