This is a little gem in River District! You get your money’s worth here. The tacos are always big, full of flavor, and they offer homemade salsa in different flavors. You can sit indoors where it’s cool, or outside on the patio tables. Perfect for a casual gathering and they have play areas for the kids. Also dog-friendly.
The food is good. But no free chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant in Fort Worth immediately knocks you down a peg. Also, even if you order chips and salsa, they only give you one small serving. The "salsa" that's available for free is the Tabasco/Cholula type.
Very good queso, great authentic tacos, lovely environment. I could go on about the great first experience I had here, I can't wait to go back!
Very quaint! Love the small vibe, and the great foodI got the veggie burrito (I'm eating vegetarian) which was outstanding. The food was out significantly quick during a rush as well
The worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. "Jo" or "Joseph" as her hat said was the rudest person I've ever met and has totally ruined what was one of my favorite locations. Any other Salsa Limon in FW is worth it, take the extra 10 minutes to go to another location.
Salsa Limón Distrito, located in the River District area of Fort Worth, is one of our favorite places to get breakfast tacos. While we personally prefer their breakfast food, they also serve lunch and dinner. This location also offers happy hour, Monday - Friday from 4:00 - 6:00, and includes drink specials on imported beer, domestic beer, margaritas, cocktails and a handful of other specialties including shots, Wine, Champagne, Vodka, Rum and Tequila.Because everything is completely customizable, there are many options for both Vegans and Vegetarians. They offer Tacos, Capitan, Quesadillas, Burritos, Tortas, Mocal bowls, Salads, Breakfast Tacos, Breakfast Burritos, Migas, Breakfast Bowls, Salsas, rice, dips, chips… even family packages to feed larger crowds. We always get the potato breakfast tacos with cheesy, creamy mashed potato’s. You have the option to add many different toppings to whatever you get: crema, guacamole, breakfast meats, eggs, cilantro, onions, jalapeños, pickled cabbage, tomatoes, rice and beans - both refried and black.Pros: We enjoy the option to customize our breakfast tacos on their iPhone app and have them ready upon our arrival so we can skip the wait time and the long lines. They have a wonderful salsa bar where you can pick your favorite level of spicy salsa for your meal.We love their outdoor patio area with the enormous oak trees and picnic style tables. There’s an oversized yellow chair for picture opportunities, a large green space for kids to run and play outside and two tree swings hanging from the magnificent trees for the kiddos.Cons: The restaurant is very small and crowded inside with only a few tables and some bar style seating along the wall by the bathroom. They removed the umbrellas over the tables and the cover over the outdoor awning, so finding shade outside is difficult. Theres only one tiny unisex bathroom and there’s always a line.Suggestions for the restaurant: Please consider adding a utensil dispenser, napkin dispenser and water cups by the salsa bar so that customers can get what they need for their meal without having to get back in line when something is left out of their order. Please also bring the table umbrellas and outdoor tent cover back for people who prefer to eat outdoors.
My wife is Mexican, so I tend to be judgy when it comes to Tex-Mex as my mother-in-law's cooking is just incredible.Needless to say, this place lived up to my snobby standards and then some. Absolutely incredible. It's got the classic taste of street tacos with their own unique twist.
Wow!! Where do I begin? Barbacoa tacos are delicious. Not sure about the pickled cabbage on the tacos so I got it on the side. Habanero sauce was delicious. The spicy margarita was delicious. The rice was delicious. I can't wait to try more food and drinks!
The staff are rude and they have a tiny coffee pot for breakfast crowds. If you ask for coffee, you get the stare at the pot and “I will have to make more”. They actually refused to give me a cup of coffee - it’s ridiculous. Do not recommend
The quesadilla was sad and the bowl was basically just beans and cabbage. It should be illegal to serve that as a “bowl”. It should be labeled as just black beans. I really don’t understand how this place has good reviews.
