Loved it! Small BBQ shop on N. Saginaw Blvd. with indoor and outdoor seating. We had a sliced brisket sandwich and jalapeno cheese link sandwich with fried orca and red fries as sides. It was all good. The brisket was moist and tasty; especially the bits with the outer layer. The jalapeno sandwich was also very good with a nice side of the house BBQ sauce that was tangy and just bit of sweet just like I like it. Finally the Red Fries were a real treat. Along with the potato fries they throw some onion and sliced jalapeno in the fryer with them and they came out great. They have two locations the one on N. Saginaw and one on Boat Club. Check them out when you can.
I feel like I'm being generous with 3 stars because I am really disappointed.Showed up just before 12 on a Thursday (today) wanting to try the BBQ before Mother's day so I knew what to get for the family.... Out of sliced brisket?? Out of potato salad?? Out of Onion Rings?? So I got the beef sampler (a sampler plate at a BBQ joint with no sliced brisket?). It took 25 minutes to put together and no bread was included....Jalapeño poppers were too salty and appeared to be mass produced... They seemed to be more interested is churning out burgers than putting together BBQ plates seeing several people who ordered after me get served first. Hard to say if I would go back
Besides the little drive to get to the location its worth the drive to get some good bbq. I also like that you don't have to wait long to get your food & they also have daily specials. I will return to try something else but me & my wife love the local places!!!
Absolutely delicious! We were working in the area and googled BBQ near me and this place came up. We are so glad we stopped by. We both had the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and Mac and cheese. Everything was perfectly seasoned! The lady who took our order was so sweet and did not hesitate to welcome us as soon as we walked in, she was very helpful with helping us choose our first meal with them. I love that they have daily specials. We will definitely be visiting more now that we know about this place.Easily a ten star restaurant!
Still on the fence about this place. The people running it were friendly. We got the Thursday special- burgers and fries/onion rings.Seems they got behind on tickets and food orders pretty quickly. We waited about 30 minutes for our meal, when we received it the order was wrong- simple condiment stuff. The table next to us had an order that was also wrong. So you could see the kitchen staff may have been a little stressed, as there were only 2.What I did like was there were a lot of local people of Haslet coming in and out. The host, taking the orders was bubbly and welcoming and our order was rectifed quickly by the cook. The food itself was simple- hard to mess up a burger and fries. The onion rings were crunchy and the food was hot.We will try again and see if the BBQ is good. It deserves a second round. ?
I thought toasting a bun on the grill was something from my 1960s childhood. There's a reason why Red's BBQ has 4.8, well earned stars!!!
This place is amazing. We can’t wait to go back. The owner is great and all the family helping is just incredible to see. Way to go Red. Keep it up you will have them begging to franchise you.
Thank you Reds BBQ for sponsoring the Eaton Wrestling Tournament and serving our coaches and officials some delicious brisket for lunch!
Super friendly and chicken breast was ? superb!
I ordered a hamburger with fries and fried catfish last Friday. The burger meat as fresh as everything else. It was also exceptionally juicy and thick. the whole burger as great. Fried catfish is also excellent with right balance of crunchy batter, meat, and fat. The tarter complements well.
