I went for takeout. Got the baby back ribs which I know are fall off the bone delicious and wasn’t disappointed. But I also decided to try their turkey as well. The turkey was so tender it melted in my mouth! Thanks to the crew who work so hard to provide such fine food!

Absolutely phenomenal. Can’t even hold the bone of the rib without the meat falling off. Best ranch style beans I’ve had in a bbq joint. Potato salad, coke slaw, French fries, doesn’t matter. You can’t go wrong with anything on this menu. We paid $35 total for (2) Two meat combos with 3 sides, a soda and a goblet of beer. Super cheap for bbq in general but a steal for the quality.

My wife and I hit Railhead every time we're in Fort Worth. Good location near the Cultural District & Will Rogers Complex. Food is great, generous portions, good atmosphere too, and prices are very reasonable. Friendly staff. They slice the brisket so there's very little fat, if any, which is how I like it. Having grown up in Fort Worth, I appreciate their slogan: Life is too short to live in Dallas.

I thought I was ordering a sliced brisket and a chopped brisket sandwiches and what I got was clearly NOT brisket. It tasted like flavorless chuck roast, which is many times called poor man's brisket. The baked beans were Ranch Style beans right out of the can, no extra seasoning or anything to even try to hide it. The potato salad was a joke. The onion rings on 3 orders were over cooked in old grease. The bottle beer was warm and they had no sweat tea. I expected WAY better food and was very disappointed.

The BBQ was really good got ribs and sausage, the wife and me had a really good time here the staff was so nice.

It was OK. We shared a three meat plate. Brisket was tender, but not much flavor. Sausage was pretty good. Chicken was dry, but OK with BBQ sauce. Green beans were good, Cole slaw was good. The Pinto beans were terrible. They were ranch style beans from a can. Really? A BBQ spot cannot cook up some Pinto beans? It's not that difficult.

Six years ago I said I was done with this place, but after my wife brought home some very good ribs several months ago, I decided to give them another visit. So me and the wife went this evening. I ordered the brisket and sausage combo. She wanted brisket and ribs but the meat man said they were out of ribs, so she got the same as me. After plating her brisket and sausage, the meat man noticed that there were four ribs left so he just gave them to her. BONUS!!! She had the potato salad, ranch style beans and green beans sides and I the ranch style beans and double potato salad. All dinners come with a pickle, sweet onion and a slice of bread. Everything was very good and there was plenty of it. The rib meat fell right off the bone. Brisket was tender and juicy and so was the sausage. All nice and smoky. Sides were also very good. Service is cafeteria style. We will be back. :-)

The best ribs u can get. Perfect sauce, perfectly BBQed. And the Shiner Bock shines. A genuinely down-to-earth place. No fuss, just fine.

Great local spot for BBQ with many ways to try it. They had sandwiches, combos, and by-the-pound options. I went for a combo. The restaurant seems like a well established spot. It’s easy to get to with plenty of parking. The decor is very Texan. The staff were friendly and service was instant at the counter. Prices are fair. The menu was a little confusing and didn’t line up exactly with what was actually served for the combo. However, I got so much food I couldn’t complain.I tried the combo with chopped brisket and ribs. Both were excellent, super smoky! The coleslaw was great. The fries were just okay.

Had the pulled pork sandwich, which was good but nothing to wow me. I did enjoy their BBQ sauce that was really delicious. I should’ve probably chose another side beside fries. Will definitely be back to try other items.Came back to railhead and want to say the ribs where delicious, and once again the BBQ sauce was amazing.
