The overall dining experience is an ok time. This place has a lot of potential, and developing it could potentially make it a very good experience. The food was definitely fresh and cooked alright, but not the best. The live music aspect might help, but might be too loud for some. Service was decently fast, and quite friendly. However everything is within small fixes, and with these changes the place could be one of the best.

Wife wanted a bbq loaded bake potato, and after finding our favorite place closed we came here. They have two different loaded Bake potatoes. I had the Poppin Loaded Bake Potato and the wife had the regular loaded baked potato. The regular loaded bake potato is about $12 while the poppin is about $25. After eating a dinner size portion my wife will make two more meals out of hers and I ate then at some more. It would fit in the to go tray still. I may get five meals out of the poppin potato. The side were awesome (wish a little bigger), I had fried okra and cabbage, wife had pork beans and green beans. The cabbage was great, not soft. Wife's green beans were amazing with a little spice kick. Okra and pork-n-beans were average. The restaurant is a great atmosphere. It wasn't busy on a Sunday prior to church letting out. I give this place five stars. I wish I could find a restaurant that has fresh skillet fried okra. Other than that this place has great tasting food and reasonable priced. Thanks for the great meal,#DTNLivingLife

I attended a Bday party there on Sunday. The atmosphere was nice. Everyone got the fried fish, potato salad and onion rings. It looked good and they said it was. I wanted fried oysters but they were out but took care of my ?. As I was leaving it appears they may have live music and a DJ. Music was on point.

Been to restaurant 3 times. 1st time I got 2 chopped beef sandwiches. Went back to work and told my co-workers about it. The sandwiches were delicious. Next time my co-workers and I decided to get backed potato w/chopped beef. Got back to work and there was sliced beef on potato. All I'm saying is we finally get a black owned restaurant in this area and we are disappointed. They got reviews also.

Amazing , great positive inner g, awesome atmosphere.πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

I went here today and I ordered the catfish plate. when I tell y’all The food is on point. I mean just that. Fish was Perfectly seasoned and fried just right.. Completely satisfied.. even my 3 year old loved it and he is very picky.. I will be going back for sure.

We went here based on the reviews and we wanted some good soulfood, mostly a older crowd, which wasn't not a issue at all, Live band, which was really good. Prices are decent, The atmosphere alone was Awesome. Only issue was we got the wrong order. Don't get me wrong it was good food but rather would have the food I ordered and due to it was take out I didn't think to look at my order before leaving (my fault). I would visit again if I'm ever in Texas

I just checked this place out today. Was anticipating their opening. I had a 3 meat plate and got my kids a rib sandwich and a chopped beef sandwich respectfully. The food was awesome a little disappointed that the macaroni and cheese wasn't an option but the food was awesome. Tender ribs, nice smoke on the beef and links. We will definitely be heading back......

Tonight I stopped in a Poppin Fresh BBQ and Soul Food and was it a treat. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The manager was awesome and the staff was also. Great food AGIAN. The stuffed baked potato was huge.
