Fantastic Texas Bbq. Brisket was smoked to perfection and melts in your mouth. Ribs were a bit sweet but absolutely delicious. Smoked turkey couldn't have been any more moist and tender. Pork belly poppers are spicy ? and a must try . Sides are fantastic. Smoked Green Chile Mac may be too spicy for a kid but really tasty. Beans had such fantastic flavor . Potato salad is creamy and has lots of fresh dill. We got there at 11am when they opened.Line went fast . We had our food by 11:45. Give this spot a try !!!
Purchased the "Hells Half Acre" package with a plethora of additional sides including the brisket tacos. The brisket was the star of the meal.Awesome sausage, and the collard greens were well balanced. The turkey has an off flavor reminiscent of lighter fluid, but there was more than enough beef and pork where it didn't matter.I'll definitely return for the brisket and the tacos. a cut above the many others in flavor and tenderness.
Long wait for food. Rated on one of the top list so checked in out while visiting. Cashier seemed to be having a bad day considering her short temper with looking over the items and placing an order. The atmosphere here is nice with shaded seating options and picnic areas. The food was a 50/50 split. While the brisket was tender and delicious their sides were so spicy that’s all you could taste. The slaw just tasted like some one dumped hot sauce all over it and the greens were the same way. Over all not a bad place if you like spicy beyond necessary. Would recommend trying for the experience but be warned of the down fallsZ.
First time visit. I was impressed with the sandwich. The pork on the top was really just a piece of fat. Was that fond of the potato salad. My girlfriend got some Mac n cheese but they put a jalapeño on the top and apparently some juice because they were quite spicy. She couldn’t eat them so I had to.4 Stars
Great food! Brisket was juicy and Mac n cheese was legit! Definitely try the smoked pecan bread pudding!
Great slaw if not the best I’ve had very close. Brisket elote cup is incredible.
Another top of the line bbq joint in Ft. Worth. The choices of where to eat bbq in Ft. Worth are getting tougher and tougher. The brisket, ribs, and burnt ends were all 5 star delicious. All had a great smoke flavor and were tender. The sides of slaw and mac and cheese tasted like they could have been prepared at a 5 star restaurant. At the end, even though we were full, we had to try their brisket elotes and brisket quesadillas. Top notch. Go to Ft. Worth willing to try several bbq restaurants here. But make sure this is one of them.
Stand in line, outdoors in any weather until they run out of food…totally worth it. Get the creamed corn…tell them to drag it through the kitchen. Delicious!
One of the better BBQ places in Fort Worth for sure. We went around 2pm so there were a lot of things sold out. But we got brisket, turkey, jalapeño cheddar sausage, chopped beef, creamed corn, beans, and greens. Overall things were a little salty - especially the sides, but there was a good peppery thread throughout and just a subtle heat in the sides. It’s was perfect weather to sit on the sunny side patio. The environment was relaxed and it was great to get two big trays of food for our party that was really hungry and ready to chow down! (We still had leftovers.)
The food here is exactly what you want from a BBQ joint. The brisket was flavorful and smoked to tenderness. The Mac and cheese was a saucy side topped with a fresh jalapeño to let you know it has just a bit of heat. Service is quick and their outside sitting area has Oktoberfest like seating which is refreshing for an American restaurant to sit next to strangers when it gets busy. I recommend their brisket sandwich and Mac and cheese for only $16!
