We stopped in after going to an event in the area. We were welcomed at the door and seated right away. Our waitress Journey was AMAZING. We have a 5 month old baby boy (Memphis) and Journey was very nice with helping us get him situated. We asked for the new Coconut Paleta Rita. She was unsure if they had any and went to check. Came back and we were in luck. Ordered our drinks and looked over the menu. Our drinks came out and they are the absolute BEST. While our food was being made Journey played peek-a-boo with our boy and told us about her daughter and gave us some new tips about teething since Memphis has 2 teeth coming in. Our food came out right after within 10 mins of us ordering. Fresh and hot. We will be coming back the next time we are in the area.For everyone else if you go. Ask for Journey! She’s a ROCKSTAR!!!
Food was very good. We each had cheese Chile relleno with an enchilada. The black beans were well spiced. I had regular rice, wife had cilantro lime rice which she enjoyed. When we arrived there a puddle next to our table as if someone had spilled a drink. We mentioned it but it was never cleaned up. While we were eating a small child behind us became sick on the floor as they were leaving. The two ladies attended the child and used napkins to cover the vomit some. In the next 20 minutes we were there no one came to clean it up. Staff was aware of it as they picked up the paid check. As we’re were leaving I mentioned all of this to the manager who headed over there.
The food was still good as we have eaten there many times. However we did take out and on the order we included a bowl of the signature queso. I am pretty sure that it was a cup of queso at 2.5" tall and barely 3" wide. that would qualify as a cup in my opinion. Was not worth the $8.
The area where they sat us was nasty food on the floor my empanadas were over cooked sent it back for more and never got any back waitress says she don’t know why they didn’t recook me some more then bring out my plate it had a hair in it then my card was charge for my friend meal. They had our tickets all messed up. Poor service never going back there again
Went here around 1:30 for lunch. Ordered the beef enchiladas with queso. I bit & nope, it was like Wolfe brand chili stuffed into tortilla. Only 3 servers for 3 dining room. Which I understand it's not their fault. Wanted to get application to take to the 3 people begging at the corner light for money.They needed to replace light bulbs as it was a bit dark over the tables over the tables for 1 or 2 people.
Very disappointed. Felt very ripped off on the size of tortillas were like a street taco, cheese sauce half filled, won't be ordering to go again!
Good menu with lots of tasty options. The food was good and served up quickly.The chips and salsa were decent, maybe it was the bottom of the barrel since they were all broken up. And the salsa dishes need to be bigger and it runs out pretty quickly
As someone who has worked in service 90% of my adult life I have never done this.I am so disappointed in our experience today my husband said he personally will never be back.We came in the door at 3:10. We were sat with in 10 min. Which is why I gave it a star but everything after just kept rolling down. The building was over 1/2 empty.It was 4:55 before we got our meal and we ordered with in min of sitting down. At one point we sat for 15 min with empty cups.Finally food arrived and whatever you do DO NOT get monterrey chicken fajitas or steak for that matter. They are expensive and not even worth 1/2 the charge. Chicken with onions and topping was so small it covered only 1/2 the plate. The chicken was dry and flavorless. Steak was so tough we could hardly chew it. The shrimp taco was so bad my husband said "It's hard to explain, it just tastes so cheap!" I asked the waitress to get my son a refill of diet coke and she never brought it.Honestly- I have always tipped well. I know the job. Last time just 2 off us went out we tipped $25 on a $55 ticket. But we were furious that we paid $72 for 3 meals that made taco bell look good.Even though we were sitting forever in an restaurant that's not full. The manager came by 1 time asking about drinks. 3 seconds after she said she'd get them.So no I didn't leave a good tip. She made 0 effort to let us know what was taking so long on the meal. She forgot what our 3 drinks were each time. It wasn't hard to remember. She didn't remove empty items like chip basket or empty cups when she did bring a refill. Our table was a mess.This is also the 1st time I had extra food and didn't take anything home.I was not going to flag the manager. I'm not going to throw a fit. I shouldn't have to. I do not want anything for free.I understand so many factors because as I've said I worked in food service from hostess to manager and even bar. If it's that far gone letting the manager know would not benefit anything.Maybe I can save some other hard working people from wasting their money.My husband works 12hrs a day 6 days a week, 7th day he only has off once a month. I work hard every day as well. Our money comes from consistent hard work. Giving our hard earned money to a business that didn't seem to want to cover their bases on any level makes us more than disappointed. We have both worked hard to ensure our work environments thrive.Excuses aren't needed. I'm just hoping to save someone else from wasting over an hour and $72 in food for 3 people that you wouldn't pass on to the dog.
Great place for a restaurant. I arrived at 9:45pm. Door showed hours untill 10pm. I waited by the host booth for several minutes. I went into the bar area to see if I can find someone to work there? There was four employees at a table in the bar in one standing beside them. I sat down a minute it's a bar and waited and no one came to help me so I left.They may have not wanted to start a new order right at closing but there should be a serving time or something posted if they're not going to operate until the closing time.Little did they know all I wanted was an appetizer to go and you have wondering it's a bar before I left.
Very nice waiter he was very attentive he even did a little Xtra for my daughter food was delicious ? and drinks specials for the margaritas $5 fit our budget perfectly
