nice location with nearby fast food, and gas station, close to the highways and the airport. rooms are clean and it is quiet at night, a comfortable \\u0026 relaxing stay. however one of the side bed light in our room has a super bright daylight, it's blinding. the other one is ok.
We were there for business convention. Dinner: steak nearly raw and tough. Salmon so overcooked and dry that it was inedible. Breakfast: waited 30+ minutes, then given a plate of cold food that someone had gotten tired of waiting for and left. It was free of charge. The room is ok, but the tub/shower is very slick and scary. The room had 2 double beds rather than a queen or king.
We have stayed at this hotel several times for an annual event. We haven't had any issues previously, but last weekend we had not one but 2 credit cards charged for 4 nights stay + incidentals for those days. The transaction on one of the cards caused a fraud notice on the account and froze it and two accounts it is linked to. If we had not had a back up card we would have had trouble eating and traveling home. Working with the desk manager - we were told the charges had been released, but after getting home from the weekend that did not turn out to be the case, and my partner has spent hours on the phone with the bank and the hotel trying to get this resolved. The desk staff while friendly do not appear to know how to cancel a reservation and move it to a different credit card. They don't know the room rates for special events and are unhelpful at getting these issues resolved. Also, is it really necessary to charge 50/day for incidentals? No one makes long distance calls on a land line and there is no mini bar to purchase from - just what incidentals are you holding those funds for? I'm a little jaded in feeling that hotels have found several ways to take advantage of travelers with fees and rates - this particular one proved it last weekend. The suite we stayed in was comfortable but a little \\\"worn\\\" for the amount charged for a suite. I'm sure we'll be back next year for the same event. Hopefully there will be some improvement on billing -
Hard mattress, no drawers for unpacking, no hot water in the shower. Starbucks closed during our stay. No makeup mirror, lighting in bathroom to dim to apply makeup. The only positive thing was the room is pretty large. Edit: Maintenance was sent for the hot water issue, he looked at it, said he would be back and left the water running. Never came back. Called again, and they sent another repair man. He looked at it, left, then we got a call to move us to another room. We checked the hot water in the new room, and the faucet handle fell of in our hand. A friend staying in the hotel was trapped in the bathroom because the pocket door would not slide open. Hotel is in need or serious maintenance. Won't stay here again.
Conveniently located off 360 N and the hotel was clean and everything worked great! However, my son and I ate the buffet, FOR FREE, Saturday. Sunday, we were charged......$26 PER PERSON for the exact same buffet. You should never put up a continental breakfast buffet if you're going to allow someone to eat free one day and not the next. My son, nor myself, ate enough for the $52 dollar bill we were charged. Ridiculous!
Just love this chain of hotels.. Comfy bed, cute set up. Came with a mini fridge, coffee maker, the bathroom shower was wonderful.Very Clean and a microwave would have been nice.
Held a training event here. Best experience I've had in a long while. Front desk folks were friendly and very helpful (Kim, Tyler and Hunter). Bar staff were kept busy but they were amazing (Anas and Teena) and the banquet staff were on top of my every need (Kevin, Adrianna, Tony and Arturo). If I have a need to host another event in the Dallas area, definitely checking with them first.
It is a large 8-floor hotel, but it only has 2 elevators, and one of them was out of service when we arrived (from what I've been told by the hotel workers, for quite some time already). This morning, the 2nd elevator also broke, and now all the guests can only use stairs to get to their rooms. Front desk hosts are working hard trying to schedule a repair within 24 hours, but I am surprised why management didn't foresee that 2nd elevator can also break, and didn't attempt to fix the first broken elevator right away. Also, when we arrived we found that the pool has been out of service for awhile, and I didn't see any note on this on the website when booking hotel. Kids took their swimsuits with them and were hoping to use the pool. Only leaving 2 stars because front desk employees are really nice, and the room was clean on arrival, but management definitely needs to do a better job.
This is a nice hotel that I have stayed at many times when flying to DFW airport. The rates are usually pretty decent, and there is a large indoor atrium nice for relaxing especially when it is hot or cold outside. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance in case you use the shuttle and don't have a car, and the hotel restaurant is not bad if you don't want to go out. The pool is great but the #1 needed to improve the property is to add a hot tub.
The room was amazing, the bed was great, shower was wonderful (great pressure)! But kinda disappointed by the staff. Our toilet needed fixing and they told me that someone would be up to fix it. And no one came after an hour. So I called again, and they had told me that maintenance went home for the night. They then said that maintenance would come fix it in the morning, and maintenance was no where to be found.
