The Lasagna was amazing. Seriously amazing. Waitress was super friendly. Love this place.
Have been wanting to dine here for the past 2 years or so. But they’re only open for dinner. And I don’t like to eat heavy food after a certain time. But one day after like 5-6pm, I was driving by with my partner and we made the decision to go. The food was so good! Very neat restaurant.
Ate here often as a kid in the 70's/80's, moved away for 30+ years, and was surprised they're still around after moving back, so decided to give it a try for nostalgia. We like traditional "old school" restaurants, but this place hasn't been maintained at all, paint is peeling off the walls (probably lead based), disgusting bathrooms, etc. Once seated we immediately ordered bread w/ marinara, the gruyere/artichoke dip and a kid's spaghetti w/ meatballs for our 7yo daughter, planning to order our entrees when the apps arrived... Apps took 35-40 minutes, and when we asked about the kids meal, was told the kitchen was still making the meatballs... Seriously? How do you not have a batch of meatballs ready to go at an Italian restaurant when the place opens? After an hour+ waiting and our daughter melting down, we told our waitress to cancel our entrees and we'd take the kids meal to go. Then the manager came over and asked if there was a problem. Do you think so? Yes, over an hour wait for a kids spaghetti/meatball is a problem! She offered half off our ticket, and yet when she ran my card she only took off $10. At this point we were so frustrated I just signed and got out of there, and we went home hungry. Any wait staff worth their salt would have informed us of the issue and offered to switch to a different kids meal, and the manager not honoring her offer was an insult. The whole experience was a nightmare and we'll never go back. Bye bye Margie's...
Amazing food! Hold in the wall restaurant that’s been here for decades. But it is outstanding! The service is great and the prices are phenomenal. Everything on the menu is fantastic. But please don’t go there. We want it all to ourself!!!
I've driven by this place hundreds of times. Today, we decided to give it a try. Don't let the appearance of this place fool you. It's been around since 1953.The food was excellent! It's impossible to leave this place hungry. I ordered Chicken Parmesan, ate all I could and have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.The salad that comes with your meal, is a meal itself. They actually use real bacon! It's a huge salad with everything you could want on it. The bleu cheese dressing has huge chunks of cheese in it.The garlic bread is light and tasty.Friendly staff. Even on a busy Friday night.We will definitely be coming back.
1st time try'n this place out. This is a little hole in the wall restaurant with a great environment. Food was fantastic (had Joe's angel hair pasta). The service was slow so don't go when you're in a rush but it is worth the wait. The wait staff was courteous & helped eachother out with taking care of all the customers. Will definitely be adding this place to my restaurant rotation. ♡♡
Have been visiting Margie’s for years. Dining in with my wife and children this evening and I assume it was the manager that sat down beside me in our booth and made my wife and I uncomfortable. She smelled of alcohol and shortly after fell while walking through open isle between tables. My son helped her to her feet. This inebriated and aggressive behavior is unprofessional as well as unbecoming of a respectable woman. We will not be returning or deleting our review.
Great flavor, a little understaffed but servers are gentle and very attentive, food was great! Loved the salad, lasagna was really good, had to take half home, big portions.
This place is a dive, but the food is great. Don't let the exterior or interior scare you away. The service is friendly, the portions are big & the food is tasty, We had the lasagna & rib-eye. Definitely try the tiramisu.
Very good food, it may look rough on the outside but don't let that fool you. We had the Combination Plate, you get a little bit of everything with 2 good size salads. Great Chicken Parm & good lasagna. Plus the bread is fresh & hot!We will be making this our new spot for Italian food!
