I have been going to Lone star Oyster Bar for over 20 years.. The beer is always cold if you can get served. The customer service has gone way down hill in the past few years. My husband had to go to the bar to get our first beers. And they were not busy. No apologies from anyone.
Waitress was timely and nice but the food was really bad. Only ate half of the raw oysters, they were pretty sketchy tasting. The housemade chips were good, everything else was not.
They are what they are and that is the best, most authentic oyster bar in Fort Worth. Anything good requires a little more time and they are beyond good. I’ve been treated like family and I’ve only been there twice.
Some of the worst crawfish in town. They were very dirty. The waitress was sweet. She said that they don't purge them. They took 1 out of the two pounds off my order. The other negative was They give you boiled potatoes in a bowl separate from the boil so they don't get any of the good flavors. They did give me 6 shrimp to go as an apology.
Service was great, food and drinks were just as good. We tried a little bit of everything - from chargrilled oysters to the stuffed crab plate. Super laid-back, casual vibe. Will most definitely be back.
Flavorless! This place was empty on Mother's Day when we first walked in. That should have been the first hint! We ordered prepared oysters, salmon and shrimp. The oysters came on a bed of rock salt which got inside of the oysters so it was very, very, very salty. The salmon and shrimp were ok. The hush puppies were bland and the white rice was instant rice! Everything lacked flavor. Definitely not a come back spot. The waiterss was very nice though.
If I could give no stars I would , I was treated very rudely and given dirty looks and couldn’t get any help from anybody. I went there on a good recommendation from another company and regret to inform that I received the worst service I have ever received even though this is supposed to be a veteran friendly establishment I didn’t receive that and I have been serving this country for about 4 years not to mention I am 9 months pregnant. I simply wanted a refund for the untouched food I received that was not up to par and was treated evenly rudely and not given a refund but instead more rudeness. I would not recommend anyone to eat here I’m not sure if it’s because I was the only black person or what was the issue to begin with and reading from previous reviews I see multiple people having the same issues. I will be reporting to the BBB and disputing the charges with my bank to get a refund.
How does an oyster bar not have oysters?. Had to order fried oysters. They were soggy, cold, and had pieces of shell in them. The fries were horrible, greasy, soggy and cold. The waitress never brought our waters and we asked 4 different times. 1st and last time to ever patronize this place. Save your money and time. Long John Silvers is better than here, atleast their fries are crispy.
We called ahead to check on Crawfish availability. We were told there was over 30lbs still available only to arrive and find out they had been out since the phone call. We waited 5 minutes before anyone even came to our table…another 10 minutes to receive our drinks another 10 minutes until our order was attempted to be taken. We expressed our concern with ordering since everything else was taking so long. Once we did try to order they were not only out of crawfish but also oysters…it’s an oyster bar!
Take your hard earned money elsewhere. From the moment we walked in we received nothing but dirty looks. It took an act of congress to get a table and another to get drinks. There were ppl smoking on the property it was gross. Will never return..
