Absolutely amazing! The owners are the best people you will ever meet! Trust me a great date place or lunch. Ask for Craigory. Love this place fresh food and such a good vibe!
SO GOOD!! Such a hidden gem in Fort Worth serving up easily the best seafood we’ve had here (and I’m from Maine). We already can’t wait to go back. Delicious PEI oysters, mussels, char & ceviche with an authentic and creative Latin twist. We were so impressed with how fresh and flavorful every bite was. Photos don’t do it justice. Go to La Onda - your dollars will be well spent.
The owners are hospitable and warm, the space is inviting and the food and cocktails are Amazing.
We’re here for a charity event but the food is artful, delicious and unique. If you like to eat more than meat and potatoes come here!
La Onda has a wonderful chef driven menu and everything we tried was delicious. We began with the Sharkuterie Board, followed by the special ceviche, a shrimp torta, and then topped it all of with their incredible bread pudding. La Onda was an absolute delight!
Had the pleasure to spend the evening here yesterday. Both me and my wife are seafood nuts, and we love unique preparations and presentations. This place is unbelievably good. Dry aged dorado? Who does that? Intense! Homemade gravlax? Amazing! Clams and chorizo? 5/5 stars. No, 10/5 stars. Beautiful, fresh oysters. All the stars. Wonderful service and the atmosphere is that of an intimate family-owned restaurant that just crushes everything they do. We will certainly be back a bunch of times this year. The only negative is that I just now found out about this place. So that’s on me.
Wow, not happy at all. Our waitress removed caviar, not asking if we were finished. The drinks were expensive and mostly ice. The portions are tiny, not at all what we expected for the money we spent. We literally had to go someplace else to eat after spending $140 for three people with only one drink each.Don’t waste your money!!!
Artisan aged seafood, with a chef that has flair and an eclectic flavor profile. Race street is it the new standard for seafood in DFW? Being so land locked in this area some times it is hard to come by a great seafood restaurant. But, if you find your way to RACE street you have two options for great seafood! Now this is a new take with a Hawaiian/Latin flare but with the care of the fish like the chef caught them himself. The fish is delivered weekly is normally dry aged between 5-10 days. This enhances the flavor of the fish you are eating. It also adds texture to the bits of fish though served ceviche/raw. Your tastebuds are kicking when you have so many different textures. I had the onda bowl, with lunch comes with a drink. Mexican coke it is please, the one made with sugar cane-sugar! So with the bowl the options are gravlax, ceviche, and shrimp. Me to you do the CEVICHE, this way you get the freshest dry aged catch of the week! Now this had carrots, red onions, green tomato salsa, black peel rice with a mixed greens, feta pumpkin seed salad on the side.Every bite of the ceviche seemed like a different big with a little bit of everything in the bowl.My only specific criticism, is the portion size of the dessert. It was great flavor and texture with a syrup flash that should be noted. But was priced at $15 and was definitely not a shareable dish. I would suggest if you love poke, artisan well prepared seafood and one of the best mixologist in DFW for a drink. Try La Onda
Mind blowing flavors and thoughtful presentation. Staff was great too. Had their ceviche.. it was perfect. In fact, the sauce was so tasty, I asked for bread to ensure nothing went to waste.
La Onda is easily the best food I've had in Fort Worth. The freshness the chef presents with each dish is unparalleled in the area. After chatting with him and his staff I've grown to truly appreciate what he's attempting to do. Because of this experience I'll be heading to Fort Worth many more times as opposed to always thinking Dallas has the best options. You should definitely check out La Onda.
