This is legit my favorite restaurant. We live over an hour away, but every single birthday, Father’s Day, or any special occasion I can think of, we make the journey here to eat. My 2 kids are not exactly adventurous eaters, but even they love this place. The service is wonderful, and the food to die for. Do yourself a favor and eat here.
Delicious and fresh. The tamarind and mango drinks were so refreshing. The way they crumble the falafel into the falafel salad was unique and really incorporated all of the ingredients into even distribution. Service was amazing as well! (And the restroom was clean, always a good thing.)
Dropped in at the last minute to grab something before an appointment. Even with time restriction I had a nice to go meal ready in perfect time. Tasted great and the lady that took my order also very quickly had my order packed and ready to go. Highly recommend!
I'm conflicted because we have eaten there many times with good food and service. However tonight my daughter ordered a falafel sandwich with NO ONIONS. She was very adamant. It arrived full of onions. When she brought it to the waitress' attention, the waitress took it back to the kitchen then brought it back within a minute. We knew it would as too quick for a fresh sandwich. Sure enough it was the same sandwich which still had onions on the bottom and now was cold. The waitress brought a bowl of fresh lettuce and expected my daughter to pull the onions off herself. By this time my daughter was done...she no longer was hungry. So the rest of us finished our meals. The owner finally came out to offer to make her a new sandwich. Why he didn't do that in the first place I don't know...but my daughter refused because we were close to leaving. We just wanted it taken off our bill...$9. The owner refused to take the $9 off the bill because he claims that "he personally removed the onions" even when faced with the evidence of onions. Also he said that as a small business he can't afford to give food away. We have been very regular customers spending anywhere from $81 to $120+ per visit. I guess he can afford to lose customers over $9. For me it was the principle of bad service and food that was inedible and still having to pay for it.
Food was excellent, service was above averageThe eggplant dip was smoky with a late heat finish. The pita was so soft. Best gyro ever. Shawarma was incredible.
This little dive is simply wonderful. For starters, the young lady who helped me behind the counter was very polite and had a good sense of humor about her cash register not working. Good service from her and I appreciate that.I ordered sambosa with veggies and meat filling, lamb kafta with rice, pita bread, and a side salad, and a box of baklava. And everything was delicious. The thing about King Tut's food is it looks rather plain at first glance. And in a way, it is. It's not overly seasoned or elevated. Simple ingredients cooked well lead to a mouthful of flavor and delight. The sambosa was so flaky and crispy. The pastry was perfect. And to the veggie/meat filling had a ton of flavor. The pita bread was soft and fluffy. And the side salad was light and fresh. The lamb kafta was grilled to perfection. Had a wonderful sear on the outside and the seasoning was perfect. I would say it was just lightly seasoned, but done so perfectly. And the meat was so juicy. So good. And then we get to my favorite dessert ever, baklava. I won't say their baklava is the best I've ever had. But all the same, it's baklava, so it's yummy. You can't go wrong with getting food from King Tut's. Stop by and get lunch here one day. You won't regret it.
We had a birthday party at this restaurant of 23 people. The Owner and Staff were FABULOUS! The food came out fast, warm, and delicious. The service was excellent, fast, and super friendly! All of our guests raved about the food...the taste, the quantity.. everything! The Owner even came out and sang Happy Birthday in his language for my daughter! It was a huge success! He even gifted my daughter a bottle of their AMAZING salad dressing!
Excellent place for Mediterranean take-out or dining. The restaurant is Egyptian-themed. The decor felt outdated, but would still be a comfortable spot to dine in. It was fairly empty when we went on a Saturday night. We ordered take-out. It was ready quickly and packed well. They have a good variety of menu options. Prices were fair.I tried the lamb shawarma and a piece of baklava. The shawarma came with a side salad and pita bread. Everything was excellent and it was a ton of food, too much for one person! The baklava tasted good but was too dry, likely old as it had been sitting in a display on the counter.
