We came to this location on Good Friday. 4-15/22. We waited 15+ minutes to even be greeted at the door. Then one of the workers told me from across the dining room it would be a few more minutes. I informed her we had already waited 15 minutes and there was a lobby full of people waiting as well and she replied “I can’t help it, there’s only two of us working”. This is a shame on a holiday at 10am they had TWO servers?! I watched several guests waiting at tables to even be greeted as well. We made the decision to come to the 820 location and was immediately sat and had our drinks and food order taken within 5 minutes of our arrival! Not only did it seem like no one has sense of urgency but they act like they didn’t care about the waiting guests all over the restaurant. Waiting to be sat, waiting to be served, waiting to pay, etc. Hire some people for goodness sake!! Such a shame considering this location is super close to us and we use to visit there all the time with no issues. Won’t even try this location next time.
The absolute worst experience ever. Customer service is no concern here. The food was substandard and prepared improperly and half the order was missing. When management was informed of the preparation error it was implied that I had made a mistake but after I showed them their own menu they began blaming a menu update. When asking to speak to a manager I was told I would have to wait for over 20 mins because he was the only cook on duty. I demand my money back and will never return again. I will drive further for a better experience.
I feel bad for this staff. If you don’t like your job, go find yourself something that makes you happy. That’s what I did. I ran restaurants for 20 years, but when Covid made that task impossible to perform, I moved on. Life is too short to be ran like a mule. If your business cannot find staff, adapt to the industry, or you may as well run the restaurant yourself. Good luck.
I Love IHOP, one of my favorite restaurant for Sunday with my little family. This location looks clean and classy but don’t get fool with it, it’s far as the worst location I have been. We came on the 1st of Jan 2022 for a breakfast. We’ve been sitting for more then 30 min, waitresses been passing us without asking us. If we have been helped, till I asked someone then they decided to get someone to our table. After whole, it was another long waiting for our food. After reading all the reviews, I concluded that, this location don’t care and don’t respect theirs customers
I was surprised at the early morning responsiveness (around 0600) of an IHOP. The staff sat us quickly and were kind. It took some time to get back to get one our plates, but otherwise the food was as expected out of an IHOP: standard American-style breakfast foods 24/7.
Was last here on Christmas day. As expected there was a crowd of customers and am overwhelmed staff. I can say that the staff I saw including our server handled this situation with professionalism and dignity. You know what you are getting food wise here and they did not disappoint.
Server was amazing. While short staffed and her working her 6th day. It didn't stop her from providing excellent service. Thank you!
Our Mexican bowl was amazing, our server was so nice and friendly too!! Everything was spot on ! Recommended!!
These 5 stars are for our server CHAZ!!!!I think by this point we are all aware of the staff shortage the restaurant/food industry is facing. When we go out to eat, it’s with full knowledge and understanding that service may be delayed due to understaffed establishments.Today, we went to IHOP- between the “we are hiring sign,” two servers on site and one hostess sitting, filling drinks, taking phone orders, etc - we gathered there would be a wait.We did wait a bit to be seated - the hostess was apologetic and took our drink order. She got the drinks out to us and told us someone would be with us, but did advise that there were only two waiters for the entire establishment.Eventually, Chaz made his way to our table. This young man was apologetic that we had to wait so long - granted it was not his fault- but he didn’t make excuses, he apologized and took our order. We could tell he was stressed/overwhelmed, but he was trying hard to provide great customer service all while apologizing for the understaffing. I can’t imagine how many complaints he receives daily due to wait times. We are grateful for people like Chaz, willing to go out and work! He displayed great customer service under the circumstances and that’s all we can ask for, thank you Chaz! For the rest of us, let’s try to be mindful and appreciate those that are going out to work. What’s the incentive to return to the service industry if all they get is poor treatment from customers? To IHOP- give Chaz and the hostess a raise, they deserve it! And maybe temporarily model your business like other restaurants. Our Starbucks disabled online and call in orders to allow their understaffed crew to focus on in person customers. A taco casa nearby has shut down it’s dining area and is focusing on providing great customer service for drive thru/to go orders only. IHOP needs to find a way to provide relief to the staff they do have, and that may mean doing away with some forms of service and concentrating on better customer service.
I have one massive complaint. They are making a waitress work when she just got out of the hospital two days ago and she is the ONLY WORKER THERE!!! This is not a complaint against her as she was an absolute sweetheart, but a complaint against management.
