First time here while visiting Texas for a business conference and wanted to try their barbecue. Loooved the “burnt ends”, brisket and especially the best potato salad I’ve ever had!!! This location is best for larger group. The backyard style setting is so spacious!
Super clean and friendly staff. Must go!
This place was recommended by locals and professional chefs. It is a counter service style with ample options and seating. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Large portions. The 4 meat plate fed 2 of us plus leftovers! The cobbler was great too. My only complaint is that they ran out of peach cobbler!
The customer service is very welcoming and they answer all questions with a friendly attitude. This establishment is VERY WELL KEPT AND CLEAN, located in a part of town that is still building new luxury apartments across the street. I’m not so sure if it’s a very cultural place, but again, they welcomed us with an eager to satisfy attitude, and nowadays that goes a long way. The barbecue ribs are EXCELLENT and the GREENS ARE DEFINITELY FRESHLY COOKED. We didn’t care for the Mac N Cheese, nor their in house barbecue sauce. To us, the pasta was overcooked on the Mac N Cheese, and the Barbecue Sauce didn’t have that right blend of sweet and tangy. I also had a side of brisket and I was shocked that one slice was $7 and some change. Not too mention, the brisket was tough as well. Be mindful, this isn’t a lower budget establishment, so be prepared to spend some money, although the dress is casual dining. I wanted to add that I liked how you can add pickles and sweet white onions to your meats and/or sides. I just wish they had some kind of bread with their Barbecue Plates. I saw on Fridays and Saturdays they have a live band, and I bet that’s nice. Finally, I do think this restaurant is worth a try. Everyone’s taste of how they like their “Q” is different, so what we didn’t like, you just might love. We’re definitely going back to try their onion rings that were huge and their jalapeño sausage that was nice in size. Both looked mouth watering!
Food was great. Ribs, brisket, sausage were all seasoned well and smoked to perfection. Burnt Ends were flavorful but a little greasy but that's to be expected. Onion rings were huge and fresh. Beans were tasteful. Overall a great experience. The food is a little costly but well worth it.
Food tasted ok. The Mac and cheese was cold. The French fries tasted really good. Best thing about the entire meal. Pulled pork was okay. But again, it was not even warm. Neither was the brisket. And the brisket was super fatty. BBQ sauce had a good flavor. Place was nice and very clean. Restrooms were nice and clean. The outside dining area was clean. Too warm to eat outside though. The lounging area was nice. Green grass for the kids to run around on, burned off some extra energy.Extremely small parking lot. Hard to find a place to park. Very very expensive. It is not for the family on a budget. It was way too much for what you got.
This location specifically is quickly becoming one of my favorite local BBQ spots in Fort Worth. One thing I love is there is always an open table, even if the parking lot is full. Some of my favorites here include the Bacon Burnt Ends, Ribs, and the green chili Mac and cheese. The loaded Mac and Cheese is great if you’re looking for a sample of BBQ and a side. The BBQ is pricy, as all Texas BBQ is, but well worth it. They also have an awesome story about how the owner, Travis, found his passion for BBQ and what was once a food truck is now a Fort Worth establishment. Support your local BBQ!
Visited yesterday for the first time with my family. We were confused on how to order the food since we came at night time. The bartender was nice and helped take our order and told us where to wait for our food.Once our food was ready my husband picked it up and whoever handed the food was rude when he asked for extra ranch.Place was clean, portions were good size, however the taste was not the best.
What an expensive let down. I love barbecue, but this was just poor all the way around. For starters there was no smoke anywhere. Didn’t smell smoke outside, not inside, not even on the meat; don’t know if they use smokers or ovens. Brisket should be black outside from all the smoke, but the brisket was red like it had been in an oven with a couple smoke chips. It was also dry and tough, worse than dickies, spring creek, etc. the Jalapeño cheddar sausage tasted really good, but still no smoke flavor or smell. The bacon burnt ends were alright but wet like they were cooked in a saucepan ...and also no smoke. The green chili Mac was actually black pepper Mac. No green chili flavor at all, just look how much pepper is in the pictures. The Loaded potato salad was dry and just “off” not a pleasure to eat. It had good ingredients, just wasn’t good potato salad. In fairness the portions are big, I ate half of everything and brought the rest home. (It wasn’t any better the next day) Top it all off and it was a $33 lunch with water. That’s a ridiculously expensive lunch I wouldn’t pay $5 for. I’d heard good things and was excited to try it, but man that was an expensive disappointment.
We had heard this was a great place for barbecue, so, as a treat for my wife's birthday, I drove (she's disabled) nearly an hour, to pick up two orders of bacon burnt tips, brisket, cole slaw, onion rings, and banana pudding. I have to admit the people WERE nice, the restaurant was pleasing and airy, and the manager promised a rapid refund to my credit card when I called back... apparently too busy to apologize... or too used to the situation? Other than that I'm sorry I went there and won't be back. First thing when I got home, nearly an hour drive, remember, there was purple goo all over the inside of the the bag. This was from the cole slaw, which was made entirely with purple cabbage... Don't waste your money. Long John Silver's cole slaw is WAY better. After a couple of bites, and I'm a cole slaw junkie, we both threw it away. Of course, that was after 15 minutes of wiping the purple (did I mention sticky?) goo off all the containers... included the bottoms of the two grease soaked plates. Oh yes, the grease. I will not need chapstixk for a while, and my wife has thrown up the greasy meat she was able to eat, and bequeathed the remainder to me. Kind of her. Okay, remember the onion rings I ordered? Good, they didn't. I guess that's on me, I should have checked the order at the restaurant. Fourth strike? Most of the flavor in the meat came FROM the grease. I've gotten much better, many different places around this country, and NEVER had to pay $53 for the privilege.
