Beautiful place, just as nice, or nicer than the Arboretum in Dallas, and cheaper too (but has less restrooms and water filling stations than the Arboretum). Great afternoon or morning trip with the kids. Japanese Garden is nice, the gift shop inside is a little pricey but has some really neat items.
Two times the fun here. We had plans to attend the "Music of the Eagles" tonight, live music ?? in the park, so we figured a bike ride there during the day to check out the parking and logistics of the place would be a good idea. It was... We found our north parking lot, how to get in, and where to directly walk in to. Our first time here attending and we had an ice chest to pull, so. Spend the additional 18 bucks for parking as you purchase your ticket online. Get the North parking which is very close to the entry. Easy walk to the sitting or festival area from there. Warning!!! It can be extremely hot and humid out there! PREPARE yourself! Plenty of concessions close by, well behaved crowd, but very hot and sticky. The fireworks helped though
Such a beautiful and tranquil place. Admission is $12 per person and it's well worth it. There is construction underway at the Botanic garden so there are a few detours but not awful. The garden is huge! There is so much see!! You will have a very peaceful and relaxing day here.
Amazingly beautiful place. We felt the price was reasonable (but then also realized that they have a reciprocal membership with the Dallas Arboretum, which someone with us had a family membership to, so we got in for free). We enjoyed walking around the paths. There was some construction that left us with a bit of a boring section, but it wasn't too long and they rerouted us through shade so at least it was cool. The Japanese garden truly was the highlight (as other reviewers have mentioned). The kids with us enjoyed a snow cone from the truck in the parking lot prior to the Japanese Garden. We all appreciated the frequent water-bottle-filling stations (the water isn't cold, but it was still welcome). We ran out of time after the Japanese Garden and wanted to take the tram back to the car (the park is laid out in a line, not a loop). We also had a senior citizen with us who was pretty done walking. We stopped at one of the parks restaurants to ask when the tram came and they said every 15 minutes. We waited and waited, but no tram came. Finally a group of us separated and walked back to the entrance while others waited for the tram. I asked about the tram at the ticket counter and was told it didn't run at all during the week! They sent someone to pickup our group, but we had already wasted like 35 minutes and the lack of communication was terrible. The restaurant worker should have known, and told us, that the tram wasn't going that day! It was the only negative part of the entire trip. They really need to improve the signage relating to the tram - where stops are and when it is running seemed like a mystery that we were just supposed to magically know.
$12 fee, worth every cent! Gorgeous and relaxing. Best part was the Japanese Garden area. Great for grad or fancy dress photos!
Knowing Mr. Jackson Robert has been a blessing to Me, my family, and friends, there's no disputing the fact that he is the best account manager ever. We went to see the Japanese Gardens. It was so beautiful. The fact that you couldn't get food unless you stood in line forever was disappointing though. It was a beautiful day as well.
My husband and I were told about this garden and heard how wonderful it is. We saw such beautiful pictures onlines, so we went and seen it for ourselves. Oh my word this place does not disappoint. My husband and I both are outdoorsy and nature type of people so for us it was like Christmas being able to see new things and walk the distance to see it. We also got to see the Butterfly Garden which was super unique and fun to see a few of the butterflies they had. We went on a beautiful March day 3 weeks ago and unfortunately not everything was full bloom but what we did see was breathtaking. These pictures don't do it enough justice but loved every minute of what we got to see. We can't wait to go back and visit it again to see it all in full bloom!
Wonderful day today and the gardens didn't disappoint. Perfect spring day. The flowers were in bloom and everything was so lush. We went for the big bug exhibit and the artwork was amazing, wish there was more.
Went last year to the Japanese events was fabulous Would do it again if I wasn’t working lovely time
