My daughter and I went to Fort Worth for a weeks vacation. I had been to Fort Worth back in 2016 for a football game. I live in Kentucky and my daughter is from Wisconsin. The stockyard area was different from my previous visit. It has more shops and restaurants now. We both like wine and decided to try Cowtown. We loved it! The staff was great, cute atmosphere and the customers that came in were all very social and it was like one big party. Everyone enjoying the wine flights and sharing their opinions of each. We decided to become members and are looking forward to our next shipment.
So COWtown Winery in the TEXAS Ft Worth Stockyards and YET the grapes come from CALIFORNIA!!!!!!! It's disappointing to advertise & market TEXAS & then say "Tx grapes arnt good enough to make wine"! The young lady there couldn't tell you Welch's Grape juice from Cabernet! Wine was sooooo bad!!!! Their real gig is sangria sluches for girly girls to drink & walk the stockyards.Quoting a favorite Tx Winery.....Good men didn't die at the Alamo so we'd have to drink CA wine!???
This review is in regards to the ghost tour. I don’t normally write reviews, but I’m pretty disappointed. I purchased the Groupon for the ghost tour for my husband and I. We wanted to go for our anniversary. I called a week in advance because the Groupon states you have to call to make a reservation. At the time I first called I checked the online booking portal and it said there were 7 tickets available for the date we were trying to go (July 7th). No one answered the phone so I left a message. No one called me back and I waited until after the 4th of July holiday to call again. When I called again still no answer. I resorted to contacting through the comment box on their website and received an email response saying the tour was full. We are coming from out of town, so I won’t be able to use the Groupon on another date and can’t get a refund since over 3 days have passed since I purchased it. I was really excited about the tour and we made our dinner plans around it. I’m disappointed in the poor communication and that I won’t be able to get a refund. It would have been easier to book online and have a place to type in the Groupon voucher code. I’m sad I wasted the money and disappointed that we won’t be able to go! Hoping I can save someone the trouble since booking online through their website would have been much easier.
Love going here! Clean and professional environment. Really cozy. Great location for when visiting the stockyards. Awesome selection of wine. Good prices and flights.
This place is great! The folks here are super hospitable and the wines are also really good. The house recommendation didn’t disappoint:smoked Gouda cheese dip the prairie breeze cheddar and toscano salami!
Enjoyed a bottle of Ghost with friends and appreciated the nice service we had and the option to sit either inside or out. They also serve other cold beverages which is a nice option.
Took a private tour with Dan & it was awesome! He was very accommodating and shared a ton about Fort Worth history along with eerie ghost stories!! Really cool stops and could always hear him over the street noise. Great for locals and visitors!! Thanks Dan & Cowtown winery!
Our server was an absolute gem and a great time! Definitely helped with any question and had great recommendations! We loved it so much we decided to join the club! We can’t wait to receive our first shipment all the way in GA!
Great experience. Haley was amazing! That was my first time going. My mom has been a club member for a while but this was my first time to go with her. I couldn’t be more impressed with the customer service and atmosphere. Thank you, Haley!!
Great wine, awesome selection, and love the decor. The only thing I haven't liked in both locations for the Cowtown Winery is the size of the location, but otherwise, I am a happy camper.
