Wife and I decided to come to Fort Worth for a romantic getaway. Hotel was decently priced and in a great location. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. However, when we got back to the room at midnight we discovered that the shower drain was stopped up completely. Called the front desk and was told there were no maintenance personnel on duty and it would be over an hour before someone could come fix it. Best they could do was send up housekeeping with a plunger for us to use ourselves. I was able to unclog the drain after removing a large hair ball left by some previous guest. Some romantic evening and not what I expected to be doing for $150 a night.
Arrived to find we only had one case delivered to our room. It materialised after a stressful few hours. Apart from that our room was clean and comfy. Breakfast in the attached cafe was ok. The hotel is in a nice location for bars and restaurant
I picked this hotel because of the good reviews, unfortunately the accommodations fell very short on expectations. All hotel staff were great and did their very best to accommodate me in the beginning when problems began and upon checkout. I would like to shine a special light on staff member Jean who did everything in her power to help me work through issues that came up. Jean wanted to ensure my safety and smooth transition to another room. However the "room"issues were too big to overlook and not be reviewed for future guests. I reserved a room with a patio. There were several problems with this room. The 2 biggest: the door to the patio would not stay shut and the patio window was completely SHATTERED from floor to ceiling. The phone on nightstand, was not wiped down, it had makeup on it, there were glass ring marks on the night stand that were sticky. These were the most obvious signs that housekeeping did poorly. After further inspection, the entire room was dirty and dusty. When I called front desk to complain, I was told that housekeeping was "on lunch" and it would be 15-20 minutes before someone could help me. I opted to go back to the front desk to speak with Jean and was fortunate she was able to relocate me into another room. The broken window alone presented a security risk. I was relocated to a 2nd room and it too had signs of poor housekeeping and a shower that leaked leaving a pool of water on the floor after each use. I did not complain any further - I gave up and accepted the situation. The Corner Bakery inside the hotel was nice and the lobby bar was nice. This was a quiet birthday get-away-for me and I wish I had picked another hotel...
Friendly staff, especially the valet service, always smiling and friendly. Room was nice but we were not happy with housekeeping. I have never stayed at a hotel that didn’t make beds, empty trash, clean bathroom daily. I was told they didn’t do it because of Covid. The hotel was not busy with people and Texas was very open for business everywhere. Disappointed for the price expected better service.
Room was ok, lobby was dirty. Upon returning home I discovered that the valet either hit something with my truck or ran into it with another vehicle. I immediately called the front desk and they offered no help and put me through to the valet, spoke to them and they said they were going to pull all video and have the manager call me back within 30 minutes. Still waiting... I would not recommend leaving a vehicle that you like in the hands of the valet. Very disappointing.
This hotel was clean and seemed to be well kept. Its in the "downtown" fort worth area and there are many shops and restaurants near by. We didn't spend much time at the hotel since we were there to sightsee. I was a little disappointed when we checked into our suite with 3 people and there were 2 towels and 2 washcloths in the room. There is no housekeeping unless you ask for it. We constantly had to ask for towels so finally the next to last day I just asked for 6 of each. There were 2 adults and a teenager. Also the parking situation is something I'd not experienced before, there is only valet parking and the parking garage is on another floor so your car goes into an elevator to park. You don't have access to the car, and as much as we were coming and going I felt like I was bothering them by requesting access to my car sometimes twice a day. Our suite was on the 3rd floor and when we looked out the window to check the view there was a large patio area right on the other side. The picnic tables were literally inches from our window. Luckily this didn't affect us but I see how it could have, if there was a large group out there being loud. The water pressure was terrible in the shower, and Sunday morning the water actually went out 3 times while I was washing my hair. All and all it was a nice place, but I probably wouldn't stay here again unless I had something going on downtown. We spent most of our time elsewhere.
Very nice hotel with great amenities and a very friendly staff! Enjoyed my stay very much. Also, loved reading about the long history of this building!
Jose behind the check in was outstanding! So helpful and cheerful! The hotel is located in downtown Fort Worth and we were in town to see Hamilton at the Bass Performance Center around the corner. Great spot, great staff.
Hotel is nice, in a decent area. Rooms are comfortable, don’t like that the door handles looked disgustingly dirty, since handles are a high touch point are I would’ve thought they would’ve cleaned that area the most. Thankfully I bring myOwn disinfectant
Atmosphere, valet, and desk personnel were great! The bed was way too hard! And the pillows were way too soft! The shower was spacious and hot, but the way to change the showerhead pattern wasn't obvious, so for most of my shower, the water was weak. It was great AFTER YOU PUSH THE BUTTON at the bottom of the showerhead face.Unfortunately, the bed and pillows would likely preclude us from staying again, even though we had a great evening, overall.
