Benbrook cafeAfter passing Benbrook Cafe numerous times and seeing the parking lot always full, we decided to stop in for breakfast. The location, next door to a gas station, is a hole in the wall and part of an older strip mall set up. It’s definitely nothing fancy. We were allowed to seat ourselves and our waitress did a wonderful job of keeping our coffee hot and full. I ordered the Two Egg breakfast which included grits and wheat toast. I also added an order of shredded hash browns, because it’s not breakfast if there’s no potatoes! My husband ordered the Bacon or Sausage breakfast with Sausage and added an order of hash browns to his order as well. The food arrived hot, but both of our eggs were undercooked to our specifications and the wheat toast wasn’t very palatable - even with the addition of whipped butter. The grits were delicious, but the hash browns weren’t crispy even though the outside was browned.Pros: They offer senior citizens discounts, breakfast discounts from 6:00 - 11:00 am and daily specials. The service was wonderful and they offer pies in a cooler by the register if you’re looking for dessert.Cons: The food just didn’t measure up. Breakfast staples like eggs and hash browns were undercooked. The inside decor was tired, the floors were messy and the supplies were disorganized. The ceiling tiles were discolored and drooping from the ceiling. We felt like there was a lot of room for improvement as far as sanitation, cleanliness and organization go. Sadly, we have no plans to return and it’s not a restaurant that we’d recommend.
Great little family Cafe. Prices are very reasonable. Staff is friendly. Food reminds me of a home cooked meal at grandma's. They even offer a variety of sliced pies for your sweet tooth. A cross of hole in the wall and hidden gem cafe.
Very nommy. Pie and breakfast .. great combo. They have tons of options for breakfast. Eggs Benedict. The traditional. And lunch starts at 11. Really cozy little place.
This small Cafe has to be our new favorite spot! The servers were kind and accommodating. The food was really homemade and to die for. We had 2 picky children with us and they ate the most food they have ever eaten at a restaurant. It was amazing I have never seen them so excited at a restaurant before and quite like that. I give this place A+++++++ and I absolutely can’t wait to come back and try some more items off the menu.
Wonderful comfort food.Staff there are friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the Southwestern Chicken. The BBQ Hot links were delicious. For being in Fort Worth it has a small community feeling. Bravo.
The food was amazing!!!!!
The food is decent and priced well. However, I just had a terrible experience. The waitresses are bitter and angry. This was only my second time to go. I had to listen to a conversation about broken coffee mugs and who was going to pay for them, shouting back and forth over my head. The waitress was very unfriendly with me. I will not return.
Love this café. Lunch was served fresh and delicious the service was outstanding.
Had a $20 Groupon, thought would really live it up and get a t bone steak medium rare with eggs, hash browns and biscuits. It was $16 , it was paper thin and looked old couldn't even cut it. The other stuff was good, the waitress was very nice and said if I would have said something sooner could have tried to fix me something else, by this time I just wanted to go was a let down.
Small town diner with great home cooking. Waitresses are very friendly and go out of the way to make you happy. Great prices.
