the food was great! loved the chorizo fries. outdoor seating was pretty, but very cramped so you were uncomfortably close to the table next to you.I love the names of their menu items.in a dog friendly area, but I would not bring my dog inside. outdoor seating would be best.the price adds up if you don't pay attention, so depending on what you get, it can be pretty expensive.overall though, it was a good time with good food.

My favorite coffee and brunch spot in Fort Worth. You can enjoy sitting outside with a great view of the river! You must try the Ham and Cheese Melt, I thought the jam would make the melt too sweet but, the melted Brie complimented the jam perfectly, and really gave the sandwich what it needed! The coffee is always amazing, my favorite is the iced Horchata Latte. The coffee are lightly flavored, which may be good or bad depending on preference. I personally like the light flavor, because it makes it easier to finish the coffee. The Egg Croissant was flaky and melts in your mouth. The Eggs with Spicy Chipotle sauce are what you need to kick your day started!

This is the PERFECT spot for a coffee date! The location is probably the best you can get in Fort Worth (right off the Trinity River). The guy taking our order was super nice and helpful. FYI: they have oat milk and stevia packets!I haven’t tried their food yet but their menu had me drooling ? I saw a few options which were very vegetarian-friendly, and even a couple of vegan options! Yay!

Went on a Saturday morning walk from The Trailhead down to Ascension Coffee and back, about 2.5 miles each way. We popped in to have a bit of breakfast and coffee before the return walk. The bagel and lox was a hearty choice for stew with a lot of flavor and texture. The house-made smoked salmon was a treat. I also ordered the seasonal iced horchata latte and it hit the spot with just the right amount of cinnamon. The outside patio had great views of the Trinity River, but we opted for an indoors seat to get out of the morning sun for a bit before our return walk.

I called and spoke with Daniel who stated indoor seating was no wait, outdoor was about 45mins. He suggested I go to Yelp to get on the wait list. Five minutes later, we arrived and suddenly we are having to wait. A total of almost an hour before we are offered a table. Kitchen was backed up to the point they had to place catch up. From a business perspective, this was a great thing, but as a consumer, it wasn't the best experience if you were told one thing, but something else transpired. I know timing is finicky, but given the foot traffic I witnessed, better communication was definitely needed.Server: Awesome!Food: GoodBar: Excellent Mimosas

Great atmosphere and attentive staff and if you are unsure what to order ... try the seasonal cortado flight. The selection I tried was the golden milk latte, matcha latte, and shroom latte. All three were outstanding! For the wine lovers out there ... 1/2 price wine bottles after 3 p.m. Sunday - Thursday. Too good to be true?

My son and I stopped in here today to try something new. First off, the location is superb, and then second, that name.Ascension..."the act of rising to an important position or a higher level".No pressure for them huh?!I ordered my usual Cortado, my son, without hesitation, the Flat White. Once I became educated on the drink, I suddenly realized I wanted "a do-over" on my order. It sounded perfect for me.We sat out on the chilly patio, were served relatively soon, our drinks, visually pleasing and warm, (ceramic and glass is always preferred) and suddenly life was good again, sitting out there by the river, visiting with my son, as the bicycles raced by. Awesome vibe, sipping espresso by the water, while listening to bicycle gears humming past.Perfect pairing, or perhaps... "the Ascension" was in play?We grabbed a bag of their single-origin beans, (ardi, Ethiopia) on the way out, he anticipating the new beans, me, that Flat White. As we stepped out the door, we couldn't help but notice the street sign!?Honolulu, Hawaii 3,662 miles away. Huh?!We're flying there to surf in 2 weeks...How'd they know?!Oh yeah, "Ascension"

I didn't actually get to go my roommates did and bought me a chai tea. One of the best chai teas I've had in a long time and I'll like to go myself to experience it for myself. I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait I love Fort Worth and everything about it. It's an amazing place to live. It's great.

First time visiting this cafe. Located just off the river and trail, this spot hit the spot. The Aussie sammie was perfection; crisp and sweet bacon with medium runny egg was terrific. My drink of choice was a turmeric latte; smooth yet potent. I personally could've used a little less turmeric, but overall, excellent coffee.Though we caught a glimpse indoors, which was a warm and welcoming environment, we opted for outdoor seating instead. Outdoor seating is a must if it's sunny and in the 60s. There was a great little breeze that followed. The attendants are very attentive (despite forgetting one thing), but that's forgiven considering how filling the meal and drinks were. Everyone is very kind there and meets your needs. Overall, highly recommended to visit and grab a coffee (at the least).
