Two minutes standing at the door while a server had his back to us trying to punch in an order. Finally a different server sat us but didn’t take our drink order. We sat for five more minutes while two other couples came in, we’re seating and had their drink orders taken and out of curiosity we waited two more minutes and got up to leave. My wife told the same kid standing at the register why we were leaving and he couldn’t have cared less. The food used to be good but if they won’t serve me I guess I can’t review it.
Americanized taco shop that doesn't have barbacoa, el pastor, chorizo, or anything else that tells you the cuisine is Mexican. The tacos tasted decent. Chips were thin, cold, and almost stale. The Cadillac margarita was not made with excellence. I would like to see better ambiance; the place seemed a little lifeless. Taco Ocho is OK.
I was in the mood for tacos and wanted to check this place out. They have a fantastic menu there are so many options to choose from and they all look so good. It made narrowing down to order difficult. There was definitely a bit of South American/Central American flair to the menu which was great. I do love Mexican street tacos, they're probably one of my favorite dishes, but there are so many options for that in DFW it was refreshing to see choices outside of white onion, Cilantro, and meat of choice. The shrimp tacos were the bomb! Service was fantastic. Our server was super attentive and expeditious. It was a simple, but great dining experience. I highly recommend checking this place out.
We’ve eaten from here twice in two days. The tacos are so good!! I’ve had the Latin love (I think this is my favorite. Love the plantains), beef Colorado, and chicken fajita tacos. All are so great! My husband also had the jalapeño pork and really liked it. The chips and queso were also a win! It’s white cheese which I like more than the normal Texas yellow. They also give you little cups of salsa to put on your tacos. I can believe we’ve been sleeping on this place! At this point they’ll probably see me back tomorrow.
Disappointing, very disappointing. Taco Ocho was our favorite taco place in Flower Mound. We hadn't been in a few months and were so excited to eat there this evening. We walked in a few minutes before 5 and there were no other diners. The three staff members just looked at us (in the past we were always warmly greeted). So we asked if they were open. The staff said yes. So we sat down at our favorite table. The brisket here has been one of our favorites in North Texas. Juicy, packed full of flavor and always left a good taste in your mouth. Tonight it was dry and had an odd flavor. Our server was busy having social hour with another staff member and the bartender in the corner of the bar. Our server never came back. We called out excuse me 7, yes 7 times to get her attention to get us refills of our water. Finally, I got up and filled our own glasses. All the while the manager was sitting right there engrossed in his laptop. The staff watched me get my water and wondered what I was doing. My wife told them we called out 7 times for a refill. That said, before we could continue with our shopping for the evening, my wife had to go home and clear her system of her dinner, while I stopped at McDonald's to get a Shamrock shake to mask the flavor. Sad and will will not be back.
Stopped in on a Saturday right at 8am (opening time) for some breakfast tacos. I was surprised to be given chips and salsa with my meal- a first for me at that time in the morning, but I happily snacked on some just as I would with a Mexican dinner! The tacos exceeded expectations with hot, fluffy eggs and thick cut bacon. The potatoes with grilled vegetables and black beans were a delicious compliment as well. Go and try it yourself!
Great Baha Mexican food! Very casual and lots of sports on many TVs.
Be sure to verify by opening the bags if these guys got the order right when you are getting to go order. They don’t know to follow instructions and caused me heart burn two times already. Urgh…..
We had the following tacos and they were respectably good.RANCHERO Black beans, roasted potatoes, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, elote, tortilla strips in a ranchero jalapeño sauce, flour tortillaPURA VIDA Black beans, lettuce, guacamole, plantains, cilantro, red onions, serrano peppers, spinach, flour tortillaOCHO MAYA Zucchini, corn, red onions, poblanos, red bell peppers, flour tortilla
Great food and friendly staff. Unfortunately, they've lately raised their prices a lot and we can no longer afford to eat there. It was good while it lasted but the owner's greed prevailed .
