I have been looking for a new Chinese restaurant in Flower Mound because almost all of them have gone out of business... probably due to Covid.China Island is tucked away next to a dry cleaner and it is FANTASTIC. They had 8 tables and were rotating people in and out at maximum efficiency.The Geneal Tso's chicken was the best I have ever had. It wasn't just fried donut batter chicken balls like it is everywhere else. It had an amazing skin that became crisp and the meat was tender and juicy.I give this place 5 nom'sNom nom nom nom nom.

First time ordering here and it was very good. Prices were reasonable, even less than other places in the area. Selections were great, they had items I can't find at other asian restaurants and their vegitarian choices were plenty, which is a huge plus for me. Ordered the street noodles, rice noodles with tofu and extra spicy. Usually ordering spicy, it never seems spicy enough but this was perfect. The tofu was spiced nicely and had a nice chew to it and really flavorful. Also got steamed veggies which were enough for three people with just one 4.95 order. Special fried rice with port, chicken and shrimp was cooked to perfection. Usually chinese places will over fry and you get dry chicken or rubbery shrimp, but bot here, everything was moist and tasty. Would definitely recommend this place and will certainly be back soon.
First time here. We ordered vegetable medley and eggplant stir-fry. Lots of different vegetables in the vegetable medley unlike other Chinese restaurants. Loved it and will be back.

This is my go to! Great Customer service over the phone and delivery drivers always find my apartment and are very nice. Food is Amazing- However, I only get 1 thing the spicy crisp chicken always amazing. also the hot and sour soup yum! You ask for more cispy noodles- They Hook you up with EXTRA crispy noodles! Ive been eating soup with these for days! they are also amazing in any soup, ? ? Bam - I still have more- thank you - China Island
This was our first time & we will certainly be back! The wait staff was friendly & we never had to wait for anything! Super delicious & super friendly has won me over.
This small restaurant is wonderful! The service is amazing and the food is delicious. Worth a try if you are considering going, definitely a go to place for me!
Stingy to a fault. I was just in there and ordered two large hot and sour soups, a pan fried order of pork dumplings and a large side of brown rice and asked for four of the little tiny hot oil sauces they aren’t even full to the top and was told no. I would have to pay $4 for half a container cup because my order was not large enough for that many oils…. Even though it’s $25???…..!!!! And on top of that I asked how many oils they gave per order and she said one per item…. I ORDERED FOUR ITEMS AND THEY WERE ALL LARGE?!!?!!! AND paid for extra wonton chips!!!!! WTH?!?! I’ve been coming here for forever and order all the time, even delivery and I’m so tired of their stinginess and trying to charge you for EVERY little thing. No matter how “LARGE” your order is!!! But when they’re running late on their order time promise they don’t bother calling or texting or updating through Yelp and apologizing for letting you down. Needless to say I won’t ever be returning and I’ll make sure my whole extended family and ALL my friends I recommended this place to doesn’t come back ever again. You just lost at least 75 customers over 4 dollars. Nice job!!!Update… I just got home and these CHEAPOS were even STINGIER and didn’t give me any untémosla!!!!!!

Worst place to order online . Always late . Don't know if owner goes to buy. Noodles after u place order but this place always late.. . Whether bg or not this place so slow . This restaurant is the worst place to order online in highland village TX. N all staff very unprofessional n act like they are doing favor to customer.
