Very disappointing this time. None of the steaks were cooked as requested. Stuff ordered was forgotten. Had to keep tracking down our ...well either very new or horribly inattentive waiter. Newest menu updates had very few options for lighter/kids meals. While the Bbq bacon burger tasted alright I ended up taking half the full pound of meat off not only cause I really didn't want that much but because the bread and toppings just didn't hold up the the massive patties. Chili's is quickly becoming a place I used to enjoy not one I am excited to go to again.
Didn't dine-in but got my food served as though I intended to.. Host girl immediately shepherded me over to the bar area since I was solo and I easily found a nice cozy spot at the not-overcrowded bar where I was greeted in a fairly timely manner by the bartender girl.. Typical type, you'll find her at any neighborhood grill chain restaurant working the bar anywhere in this country. Anyway, she's clearly quite busy and yet finds time to greet me and hand me a menu after checking a chili's gift card's balance for me.. So I spend the next 10 minutes waiting to order after she inquires what I'm drinking.. I tell her I'm good since I'm getting a to-go order but she insists on bringing me a large to-go water. Sweet of her. After my order is sent to the back I wait a good 20 - 30 minutes (seemingly, but who knows) before my MASSIVE BigMouth BBQ Cheddar Burger or whatever it's called is presented to me in a fries basket along with a basket of fries, so I remind her I'm needing it to-go and she's quick to bring me a barely-adequate sized Styrofoam box and I took off after paying with the gift card.. I found it odd that I wasn't given an option on the screen on how much I could tip outside of the 3 incrementally increasing options on the payment screen - like, 18, 20 and 22 percent I think ? - anyway I would've done the math and left her whatever the balance of the card was but sadly for her there was no option on the screen so..¯\_(ツ)_/¯Food was great. Burger so big you literally can't open your mouth wide enough to take a bite, or at least I wasn't able to, but it was cooked well and not too much sauce which normally is a major problem for these types of burgers that eventually turn into a mushy puddle of ewwww after a few bites.. But this was fine and the fries were crisp and not over or undercooked. Good job kitchen. Not sure what else to say.. Can't offer much criticism besides what's already been said.. Yeah, not really a super pleasant experience but not awful. I don't just hand out 5 stars for normal experience so this 3 of 5 ain't bad, really. That's all. Just write it exactly as it happened and no embellishments, so.. Yeah. Anyway, good place to eat I guess.
Always great food we'll be back
I'm sure lots of places are feeling the pressure of not having enough staff. Came on a Sunday night, place is packed, waited a bit too long for placing our order but got it sent in with our drink order. Waited almost as long to get our drinks. We asked for napkins and some straws for the drinks and ended up asking a passing hostess after about 8 minutes after our request. When the 3 piece platter came out, the jalapeño sausage and brisket tacos were dried out and near room temperature. Must have been popular to make so much and leave under a hot lamp to serve as the special. I came here many times for lunch in the past but not since I moved 45 minutes away. I hope they hire more staff and pay them better.
4 mini Bacon cheeseburgers with: fries! Yes please. ? Ok, yes, I love ketchup ?.
I have to say that this chilis has gone wayyyy down hill. We’ve been going here since it opened. However, last night was the best service & quality of food it’s been in a long time! I hope it keeps getting better! Back to servers earning their tip by being attentive & polite, while the cooks care about what they are preparing!
The food was bad unfortunately i got qasadillas it was sooo bad the chiken taste so bad it was not fresh and the french fries were burned ! I will not recommand it to anyone
Fantastic meal! Bathrooms where super clean, waitresses where lovely and nice, steak was cooked perfectly and the cheese cake was top notch. Got the merry berry Rita and it tasted heavenly. Definitely a good stop for lunch!
Dear Lord people, it's 2021, can we please get rid of these '80s subpar restaurants once and for all?
This Chili's location in Flowermound is in an excellent setting close to various businesses and features a great atmosphere. The location is divided into a lounge and sports bar area where you can get alcoholic drinks ? and watch sports games or whatsoever is featured in the tv screens. The other area is the casual dining area for eating in family and that is where we went. The wait staff is friendly and cordial helping you choose what you may be interested or answer any questions regarding what you want to order. The plates are well proportioned and when we decided to go for the tex-mex area of the dinner menu, we were satisfied with what we got and simply if you play your options right you can dine for less than $40 for three people.
