I am not sure what has happened to Anamia's but it is steadily getting worse. We used to love this place. Since COVID began, we have primarily done curbside pickup. However, our orders are pretty consistently wrong. Most of the time they forget to include the drinks and once they gave us the wrong costumer's dinner. This time they forgot to include the margarita and when I tried to call them back, I was put on hold for a while. So I just went in and it still took five minutes to get someone to help me and she looked extremely put out by the effort. When we finally got home, we discovered it was missing the sauce for one of the dinners. Basically, there is absolutely no quality control for the take out orders.
I enjoy Mexican Food and eat at a various restaurants. It seems like the last few time at Anamias I always get acid reflux at night. Coincidence?
Visiting family in Grapevine, and this was the first place we were taken for dinner. The place was busy but the staff kept things moving along. I had high hopes and was NOT disappointed. The tableside guacamole was extremely good and plentiful. Dinner itself was fantastic.I was so pleased with it that I didn't even think to take a picture. I will certainly be visiting again.
Came in, shown to a table, table wasnt cleaned. Moved to another table, someone's check was there and not picked up and not clean. Waited 8 minutes for a random employee to brings chips and salsa. Another 5 minutes for a waiter to make contact, 3-4 minutes for waters, and finally 2-3 minutes for the drink menu we asked when we got water.Maybe my luck is just bad, but we got up and left. They said, " sorry we are busy" but every place can be busy during lunch time, but given it was around 2 pm it should have been fine.I would have like to have tried the food, but guess I won't be trying the food. You can reach out if you want, but that was a bad first impression. Horrible customer service from some girl who said she was the manager on the night of 5/5/22. I’ve been going to Animias since they first opened in Coppell. Which they always treated their customers with the best service. This person has no idea how to treat customers, by the way she spoke with me, I can not believe she was a manger. Obviously they don’t run their Flowermound location the same way as the Coppell store does.
Great food and service was excellent
I am in pain sitting in the dentist office as I write this review. I ate at Anamia’s the first time about 2 or 3 months ago on a friend’s recommendation and the food was really good. Tacos a la Mexicana I think. I did however bite down on something very hard that caused quite a bit of pain in my tooth on my left upper. It went away so I ate there again about 3 weeks later. I again bit down on something very hard (I had ordered the same thing) and this time it really hurt and left my teeth very sensitive ever since. It didn’t feel Ike a piece of bone. It was small but hard as rock. Well, today I was eating lunch (somewhere else) and one of those sensitive teeth cracked in two. Whatever I bit down on at Anamia’s must have cracked my tooth and it just took a while for it to come completely apart.Edit- I am losing the tooth. Sorry. I won’t be joining you for a margarita. I believe in giving a place a second chance but I just can’t give Anamia’s a third. Although the food was very good, and I understand this is an extremely rare occurrence, it is MY experience. I would’ve saved myself several hundred dollars by just going to Dairy Queen around the corner.(Edit). I’m sure Anamia’s makes things fresh which is good but that someone didn’t thoroughly check the beans for rocks like they should have.
Ordered takeout, they ran out of chili con carne sauce for my husband's brisket enchiladas and made the decision to substitute queso without contacting us for an alternative. This was not acceptable as he dislikes queso. Called the restaurant upon returning home and they had no real response and made no offer to correct or refund the incorrect item. Also my meal was already cold on an order I placed 10 min before picking it up.
My wife and I order take out from this restaurant every few weeks and often we have to wait 15-30 minutes past our given pickup time, but tonight I waited over an hour and 40 minutes waiting for my order and spoke with at least 3 different people on multiple occasions in the end to still not have my order ready. I finally just requested a refund and only later did I notice that I didn't get the tip amount back.Besides almost 2 hours of my day being wasted, I didn't even get a full refund and continued to get the run around. The food at this restaurant is decent but its not worth these kinds of problems and we will not be returning customers.
I just called about the Happy Hour and they told me that they don’t have a happy hour as one of their establishment pictures suggested. I asked to please to remove the false advertisement picture, but they said they can’t.
