waitress is great but there is this bartender [joey] who will be the one to decide when you can take a shot or not or any kind of drink. Before I leave, I wanted to take a shot but he decided I can't take another shot. I never did any dirty to any server. I always acted well but this joey bartender thinks he can decide who should drink how much. He forgot that different people have different stamina to take drinks!!!! Anyway I left with good terms. Know that if you want to get drunk with good amount of drinks, not a good place to hang out as they would limit the drink that you can take, no matter what is the situation!!PS: I am a regular customer before I left this review
I was not irate or disrespectful. I was the only African American person there at the time so maybe I stood out. However, I observed that there is discrimination against people of weight at Pockets. Waitress came to me and asked me to not lean on the pool table. There is no sign that states to not lean on the pool tables. All I was doing was sending a text message which took, literally 30 seconds. I leaned on the pool table with my backside and was not at full rest. It was just one text message and management felt the need to give me the message to not lean up against the pool table. However, in my last few times of being at Pockets, I’ve seen women and men that were smaller than me leaning up against the pool tables and not being addressed. You have to lean on the pool table to play so it does not make sense to me.When I tried to let The bartender and management/owner know about my observation, he kicked me out. I was not even being rude. My waitress was great. That is why I gave a tip before leaving. However, the owner or manager not taking into consideration what I have noticed and stating to me… I don’t want you to come back to our establishment… Is a problem for me. When he first jumped into our conversation and decided to get loud with me, I felt the need to record the situation. Initially I was not talking to the owner/mgr. He intervened into my conversation with the bartender. I was letting him know that I have observed women that were smaller than me leaning up against the pool tables and not being addressed, however when a plus size women such as myself leans up against the pool table for a 30 second text message… I was addressed and requested to not lean up against the pool tables.That is discrimination. They claim they tell everyone this, but I have not seen that. Now I am not allowed to come back as a result of me telling them what I have seen. I have video of the encounter but google does not let you post video. SMH!

First time here and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. Legit the best hamburger I’ve gotten out of the other pool halls I’ve been to!! Sorry no pic, I inhaled it lol

Never been here on the inside yet, however, I was here with a friend who came up here to pick up some money Pockets owed her and she was able to retrieve it with out any drama or pushback whatsoever.... and That's wassup!
This hole in the wall bar with billiards is very nice on the inside.

Pockets is simply the best pool hall in Tarrant County. Very good 8-foot tables (about 16) that are well managed. Lots of TV's, lots of room, smoke-free inside, nice patio outside. Above all, top-shelf staff.
I love this place. Every time i come Paizley always makes sure we have a great time ( wouldn’t ask for a different bar tender). Will definitely come back every day
