Ended up driving through El Paso on a Friday night, looked for a local place to have a beer and a bite. The chile relleno was really quite good. The salsa that came with the table was quite pepper hot, a bit too hot for my taste. Otherwise the food was pretty good and filling. Portion size was relatively large. They had a special with what appeared to be a Red Bull upside down in some sort of Margarita, and also an upside down Coronita in the same fashion. My friend tried both of these and they were really quite good, somewhat to my surprise. When we arrived, it was around 11:00 p.m. on a Friday night and we went to the bar and asked if there was wait service or bar service, we were told wait service, but the poor girl had to manage what seemed like all the tables and also occasionally work behind the bar so the service was really quite slow. For that there is the loss of one star. This did not seem to bother the other guests in the venue as the whole vibe seemed chill. Considering we were just passing through town and trying to get back on the road we were hoping for a little something quicker.
This hole in the wall has been around for so many years and the location is perfectly centered in Downtown. Tried the brisket nachos, they were so good we ordered another one! The onion rings were pretty good too! We showed up around 5 on a Fri and they were pretty busy with maybe 2 tables open but bar seating was available. They have a pool table and tvs with movies on. They were playing classic rock, Selena, and Norteña music. Service was good and beers were cold. Parked metered parking which is free after 6 pm. Will definitely be going back!
Such a great El Paso staple ! We went on a whim yesterday night because we were DYING for their delicious nachos! The bartender informed us that the kitchen had already closed for the night but Jose was so gracious to go back and cook us up some nachos on the fly! Great customer service! They reminded us of the reason we stayed in El Paso for 20+ years, the people are so caring and genuine. We are always happy when we can make it downtown for a drink and the best nachos in town! Had a very yummy margarita and witnessed the bartender make a very yummy looking drink with tequila rose that I will have to try on my next visit!
Nachos are the bomb, great for hangovers
Trading cryptocurrency with a trusted account manager is what can make your dreams come through. For me Edna Albert has the best trading strategies to win. I never believed on any post recommending online trading until I gave her a try and the outcome was great for me. Made a whole lot of profit for me.
This has the best queso fries! Just best dive bar food in town. Always an EP favorite little spot.
The atmosphere was really nice, the drinks were great, and the food was phenomenal. My only complaint really was their pricing on certain things; it just seemed a little odd that an Irish carbomb was about the same price as a paleta. Whatever works to get people to come back, though, and I most certainly will be doing so.
Nachos were the best! Great dive bar atmosphere! The lady working the bar is so friendly and makes you feel like home!
Best kept secret in El Paso. Super divey spot with great food and real service. Definitely not for the timid tourist. Don’t be picky on the menu and just do yourself a favor and order the nachos.
