This place has been around for a while so I knew I had to try it.The hostess wasn’t too friendly but our waiter was so he made up for it. The tortilla soup was flavorful, but lacked chicken. The gorditas were very good although my mom thought they were on the spicy side, my five year old was able to eat them however. The Chile rellenos were also very delicious. My sister only had dessert, the churros with ice cream and she was very happy with it.My only complaint and it’s sad because it was the main reason I wanted to try this place: the margaritas. I had been told I needed to try them. So I ordered the Coronarita ($10). The margarita itself had absolutely no flavor. It tasted like a water slushee. Then I added the Corona hoping it would help but it ended up tasting like watered down beer. I was so disappointed. Maybe their other margarita offerings are better. I’ll give them a try some other time. They also have a small bar next door that stays open after the restaurant closes.

never dined here while living in El Paso, but we visited recently for a private party. not at all fancy but that's what you want when having authentic northern Mexican food the enchiladas were amazing! and the staff handling all the drinks and service were incredible. everyone had a fantastic time, and there were some very hard-to-please guests in attendance.

The food had a "canned" not fresh flavor. The atmosphere and service was fine. I prefer the food at Los Jarrones or Sophie's way more than Riviera's. But they were full with a waiting list and Riviera had available tables. And now I know why. I probably won't go back.

Good afternoon I was there today for Sunday afternoon lunch when we automatically went in there was three girls sitting down on the table rolling up napkins and they seem to have a great time sitting there while tables needed to be cleaned and carpet it seems that it wasn't clean for a while now cuz customers were not sitting in those tables for a while I know they were having a big dinner party on the other side and certain girls were busy on the other side but they were having a time of their life sitting down doing nothing. There was this waitress that was helping us in our table I believe her name was Bianca and I know she was also helping on the other side but she was running both sides of the restaurant well these three girls were sitting down making believe they were rolling there napkins with utensils. There was also a waiter counting his tips in front of guests and us on our way out very unprofessional and I don't know who the manager was but I think everybody thought they were the managers it has not been the first time that I go to eat.

We grew up on the Texas border and know a bit about cold beer and margaritas. Taylor took great care of us! Combo Dos was impossible to beat. Salsa and chips were perfection. I will never drive past here without stopping.

The restaurant is hit or miss. My wife and I have been a few times to meet relatives. The menudo was good the last time we went, and the service is pretty good. I will recommend the bar, always great service and the patio is nice.

Don't know what internally in the business has changed, but the food has changed a lot-and not for the better. Service is good, tostadas and salsa is always good, but stops there. In total our whole table had enchiladas, flautas, tacos, Carne Asada nachos and nothing was really worth finishing. All beans had cheese that looked to be dried out, burnt and not fresh. (Maybe left under the heat lamp too long?)Tacos shells weren't crispy. Not much going for flavor on anything else. Get back the old recipes...I used to LOVE your tacos!

I have eaten there again as I really like the enchilada with creamy green sauce. The sauce is just spicy to bring a little warmth to your mouth without burning you up. It comes with eggs and a side. Just delicious.

I went with a co-worker that had not gone to this restaurant. The menu has a wide amount of variety. My coworker did not know what to order. We asked the server what she recommended and suggested a good item. It was from the appetizer menu but it was enough for the both of us. Fast attentive service.

The gorditas in my opinion were not good. The chips and dip were ok. I wish they served mole enchiladas. This place is more Tex Mex then true Mexican cuisine. But I was hungry so I ate it.
