Wow....what can I say....i got sad when they closed Sorrentos....but man I'm glad I went the the Italian kitchen....wonderful food and awesome service...I can't wait to go back....This place is a must....
This place was to be the upgraded version of the mom's place on Pershing. Tiny place, food is lacking flavor, quantity, and freshness. Service is ok, but they will hover the big spenders and you have to wave them over. If you can't go the the one on Pershing then just go to comos on Mesa.
Completely unorganized and negligent. Arrived and seated with high hopes as we love to support locally owned business. As we sat and waited to place our drink orders from the wine menu, it quickly became evident that no one was going to wait on us. We made eye contact with many servers to gain attention but all quickly looked away and didn't even render a word. After about 15mins we got up and proceeded to leave. This now gained their attention as our intended server met us at the door but still failed to say anything! After calling to complain we found out that our incompetent waitress is also the manager! What an embarrassment to have this person run your operation.
This is definitely the place to be for casual to romantic... This family owned and run restaurant is by far outstanding... My fiance and I went last night for a casual dinner and were served promptly and with a smile. The owners grandson is extremely keen to details and came by our table to see how we were doing. My dish was good but at little off for my taste... He quickly said he would take care of it and within minutes brought me back a brand new plate, not taking away the one I was eating, he stood by to see if it was up to par and it was Perfect... this attention to detail and his guests will definitely bring me and my tribe back... Thank you!!!
I usually don’t write reviews for restaurants but this place was a disappointment. I would honestly rate it a 0 out of 10 if I could . First we received the complimentary bread and one out of four pieces were warm and soft the others were well over done and hard as a brick. We then got our soup that came with our entree. The soup had a uncertain taste and was not hard to tell it was canned or pre made the day before and just heated up. After eating less than half of the soup we were given our main dish. My wife’s plate was scorching hot and her chicken Alfredo was dryer than El Paso itself. My plate was not warm and bits of my food were cold, the food lacks flavor in everything and honestly the meatball and the ravioli meat tasted dirty. We felt bad for not eating our food and we didn’t want to leave so much we just asked for to-go boxes so we can throw it out at home.
I’m normally not one to leave bad reviews but this one was warranted. I’ll start by saying the service was good. Our waitress was kind, often checked in on us and was on top of it all. Which is the only reason for the two stars. The food however was just bad. Our first serving of bread was (and obviously looked) burnt. Second serving of bread was good and fresh. A potato and green chile soup came with my meal, which I was more than certain came from a can. My meal was chicken Alfredo, which came out drier than the bread itself. It was obvious it had been sitting under a warmer or in the oven for awhile. Now, let me add that I’m not a picky person. I can go to Golden Corral and be happy. So I wasn’t going to judge my pasta based off its appearance, but man was I way off. By far the worst chicken Alfredo I’ve ever tasted and I wish I was exaggerating. My partner got the Italian plate (3 different pastas) and was visually unhappy with his food as well. The meat sauce for the spaghetti was watered down and the meat he described tasted like dirt. And I have to add he eats just about anything. In short, you’ll be better off getting something from the freezer section at Walmart.
Do not order the phone. Grub Hub will get your order wrong and the Restaurant will blame you for it. The Management and owners do not know anything about customer service.
Best authentic Italian food in El Paso! All the times we have been here the customer service is excellent. Very well trained staff who are knowledgeable on the food items and helpful in deciding what to order. The owner and manager, Rosanne, is attentive to her customers needs and cordially welcomes each one. She personally goes to each table and asks how their dinner experience isTruly makes customers feel like they are family. Love this place and highly recommend it!
We hadn't been there in a long time. It was a great experience. The food was great, especially the fried zucchini! Our waitress was very attentive as well. We will return for sure!
The food took almost an hour to be served. When it did come it was supposed to be a combination of everything they offer. they smashed it all together on one plate and drowned it in cheese. They completely forgot to bring us our appetizer. we were dining Alfresco. the lady said she would come and bring us a heater and never came back. the servers were friendly but the kitchen let us down. we were going to go to Olive garden but decided to try something more authentic and we were completely let down. disappointed to say the least. definitely the first and last time we go.
