Desiree recommended the Taft Salad with salmon. I trusted it. Ate it. Loved it. Will remember it. Service was lovely. Desiree has a great attitude. Made the experience golden.
A friend and I are here twice while visiting El Paso and had a great experience both times. The brunch and lunch menus were great and the prices are very reasonable. We had the good fortune to be served by Desiree both times. She’s awesome—had spot on food recommendations and was exceptionally friendly. Highly recommend!

Loved Taft Diaz. I highly recommend you visit. My husband surprised me for breakfast here. It was the best breakfast I’ve had in years. The service was SUPER. Ms. Leslie gave great service. She gave great advice on the food, spa, hotel,etc. The ambiance was wonderful. I will definitely come back. Thank you Leslie for your wonderful service.
Really enjoyed this hotel (though the black out shades need a little work.) Super friendly staff. Especially fun were Natalie and Dylan at the bar. Those guys make delicious cocktails and are so fun!
Fantastic service with great food. Our waiter Charlie was very kind, and made sure we were all set! We had a nice romantic dinner. The food was top notch and we would definitely return given the right circumstances. The only thing that bugs is that they claim to be named for the historic meeting of President Taft and Diaz, but there’s nothing there that commemorates that event. It feels cheap and silly, just name it something else!
We decided to have brunch at Taft Diaz. Charlie provided us with excellent service! He would come by to ensure we were okay and did not need anything further. The food was delicious! We highly recommend the brunch burger and fries - delicious! We are definitely returning whenever we are in El Paso again.
The ambiance is great, however the wait service is lacking. I visited this restaurant because a colleague recommended it. We arrived about 5 minutes early and were seated immediately. It took 10-12 minutes for us to get service from our waiter. I was about to get up and leave when they came by. I noticed a couple that was sat after us by 5 minutes get their drinks and orders put in and delivered in a timely manner. I can say with confidence that our table did not receive the same attention other tables did. Not sure if our waiter was stretched too thin, or not feeling well. Service seemed to improve towards the end of our meal. The food was good, but I donât feel like the flavors were worth the amount I spent. Glad I was able to experience the restaurant, but I most likely will not be returning.
The food was fantastic. I just wish they put the tacos back onto the dinner menu. They truly are the BEST tacos we have ever tasted! Our 12 year old son loves them too. The Taft Diaz salad was excellent. The meatball appetizer is fantastic! The Brussel sprouts are very good! The service and atmosphere was excellent. The ribeye was over cooked but still tasted excellent.
