My son and I have been loyal customers of Coronado Sushi Zen for over 15 years. My experience today has changed that. When I ordered by phone I always got 2 miso soups, 2 cucumber salads and the sashimi or sushi for 2 people. Today I only got one soup and one salad. When I brought it up to the waitress’s attention, she asked Sue and she said it was ok. Then I mentioned to the girl that when I order, I always get 2 soups and 2 salads because my order is for 2 people. She said the owner had said one soup and one salad when I ordered and she angrily added that I could complain to the owner. I responded that I would not order from this restaurant anymore and I left. And I won’t and I suggest you make sure of what you are getting before you pay. Obviously they do not care about losing a loyal customer for a little salad. A word of advise to owners and managers: your staff can make or break your establishment. I have a choice of where I go and the west side counts with several other sushi places. If I’m going to spend my money on a restaurant, I expect good quality, good service and complete orders. Service everywhere has deteriorated significantly although prices are up.

Great quality food for such cheap prices! I love this place, the only downside is that at times food may take a while to prepare, but they always let you know if you call beforehand. Definitely recommed checking it out! :)

We've been going to Sushi Zen for a long time, just had dinner there tonight we had calamari tempura, Philadelphia roll, Bunny roll, Vegas roll and I think the Storm roll, as always every thing was terrific as was the service. It was great to see our friends!

We love their sushi lunch special as well as the spicy ramen

We are so happy we found this spot! It is a hidden gem for a sushi lover and the lunch special cannot be beat! We were not aware of the reservations needed but thankfully they were able to accommodate us! For vegan options we were very pleased and the decor and privacy of the booth made it very intimate. We enjoyed our customer service and look forward to supporting this local business as our new sushi spot! The tofu steak, tofu stir fry, veggie roll, veggie tempura, and edamame was delicious! You cannot beat 3 items for $11.95!!

Favorite Sushi spot for me. Got a lobster roll Bunny roll crab salad cucumber salad and a miso soup and a free hi-chew candy for under 30 dollars! Flavor was on spot as well! I love this place!

First time visiting this sushi restaurant and I am very please with the service and the food. It is a very clean place, and the menu is very extensive. I tried one philadelfia roll and a fire cracker roll. It was super delicious, the fire cracker is a deep fried roll. The flavor its just amazing. The prices are very good. 2 rolls, 1 beer, 1 tea and 2 miso soups for a little bit over 20dlls. Definitely will visit this restaurant again and recommended to anybody who loves sushi or want to try something different.

We went in around 6pm the restaurant was completely empty except for a table of 3. We asked for a table of 2. We were asked if we have reservations when we said no they said we can be seated but service will be very slow due to how busy it is. We were a bit confused and wanted to clarify, and my wife thought they might mean doordash. Unfortunately, they meant the service would be slow even with only one, small party there. We didn't think it would take more than 5-10 minutes to seat us and take an order, so it was a bit confusing, and we decided to leave as we weren't sure what was going on. We ended up at a restaurant with multiple parties that was still able to seat us and provide wonderful service. We stopped by again at 8:15 pm and still not one person was seated inside.

Delicious and affordable great lunch specials

They ask for reservations for dine in but won’t answer the phone and then when you go in person they say carry out only even though there are people there to work. They’re now turning away money. This used to be the lunch spot I would go to every other week. Such a shame. Bye sushi zen ?
