I am a foodie & love to try diff places. Looked forward to trying St Augustine after seeing the yummy pics on IG. I was incredibly disappointed. Sat at the bar which lets you kind of take a peak at the kitchen. If you examine the place, it’s very raunchy & just not kept clean. The counter top in front of the bar was dusty with an old fan directly hitting you, which was odd. I ordered a margherita pizza (my fav). It was small, had very little mozzarella cheese and the basil was a crisp. The tomato basil soup was literally watered down pizza sauce. My bf ordered a Cesar Salad with chicken. They tore apart a chicken wing to add as the chicken on the salad. If you want an amazing Margherita pizza, go to 1/8 on Piedras. This place is not Authentic. The service was fine but the food was not good. I will not go back unfortunately. I am not one to bash but I hope it can take this constructive criticism with being more mindful of what is served & the environment.
I personally like the food, but took my family in for a meal and none of them could handle the smell and smokiness of the place. So took the food to go( which took almost 30 minutes while slow). The cheese calzone had red sauce in it which one of the boys couldn't eat, so had to find something else for him. Ruined my night and the one kid won't eat the overpriced food I bought.
I have high standards for pizza as its my favorite meal but st.agustines has lived up to everything someone would want in an establishment. The pizzas are never burnt and are always done rapidly. I've been here about ten times and every time the pizza is done from 5-15 mins. There's always two people which I'm guessing own the establishment so they take pride in doing everything of good quality. The pizzas are smaller but they fill you up. I'm someone who can eat almost an extra large and I can still get satisfied with this personal pizza. Today they forgot to add my basil and instead of just giving it to me to put on top they apologized and made me a good amount of pesto which is basil mixed with garlic or oil and warmed it up for me. Awesome service only thing is that it is costly up to twelve dollars but for me personally it's worth it.
Picked up a margherita pizza about an hour ago and it was truly disappointing. I’m not even sure if it was fully cooked/recently cooked. The dough was so chewy and it just overall lacked sauce/basil.
Save your money and your time, don’t go here. The pizza was like a kids meal at $15 for an 8 inch pizza. Took forever even though I was the only one in there. No service the whole time. No drinks because the fountains were broken so nothing to drink but water. The bathroom was nasty, no soap, and no lights. This place will not last.
Awesome food and the staff is very friendly.
I loved ? excellent date ?
Muy rica comida, recomendado
the Artisan Pizza here is really tasty and you really cant go wrong pairing it w a nice craft beer. St Augustine quotes here and there, in a nice part of the East Side w lots of options and St Augustine really stands out amongst them all.
I ordered a salad it came very last, right before asking for our check. The salad should come before the pizza....also the pizza is the size of your plate so you leave hungry.....no gloves for handling food and no mask...they need to do food handling class again. Atmosphere was not that great and service was sad. Never got refills on our drinks she was to busy. We sat with empty cups...this isnot the best place for a full meal maybe a snack.
