Best steak and lobster in town! Cozy atmosphere perfect for a date night or special occasion. Steaks are cooked perfectly as ordered and lobster is fresh, large, and served with warmed butter. Bartenders make the best white Russians and margaritas. We loved the friendly staff and the manager who came out to greet us during dinner service.
Beautiful hideaway place on the Westside! The service is always outstanding. Seafood is fresh & delicious every time-there's no fishy smell any where in the restaurant. Mixed drinks & desserts are fabulous. Go on Thursday nights & hear a very talented and entertaining jazz band. This place is amazing! You feel like you're on a fabulous vacation at some beautiful seaside seaport. We visit frequently. Highly recommend this outstanding restaurant!
I prefer sitting at the bar... the servers customer service skills & attitude needs to improve. The bartender is a great mixologist & the food is always superb. Been coming here since 2014/2015 & the service is overall is ?
You won't find a lobster tail this good anywhere else in El Paso. That's a fact. Great spot for steaks and seafood. Mussels were also very fresh and delicious. Great job to the staff, hell of a dinner.
My family and I had been wanting to go to Pelicans for awhile. I had never been before so I did not know what to expect. I love seafood and all I wanted for my birthday was a good seafood dinner. My family and I decided to celebrate at Pelicans. We drove almost 20 minutes to arrive at this oasis in the middle of the Chihuahuan desert. It was a Monday night, semi busy, and they willingly and cheerfully accommodated our party of 12. We did make reservations the day before. Our waitress, Carla, was outstanding. She had a great attitude, attended us often and did her best to make sure we had an enjoyable time. I started off with a Pelicans Mezcal Margarita which gave me an enjoyable buzz through out the evening. For appetizers I tried the calamari and mussels. Both were great. The butter of the mussels increased the flavor and experience. The appetizers were finished down to the shell. For the main entree I had the Cold Water Lobster Tail with garlic mashed potatoes and a bowl of New England clam chowder. The New England clam chowder was perfect. Very rich, creamy and full of flavor. I added some roasted garlic that comes with the complimentary bread to the clam chowder for some extra garlic flavor. That's just because I like garlic. The garlic mashed potatoes were great. I usually eat my mashed potatoes with gravy but these potatoes did not need gravy. Last but not least, the Lobster Tail. It's not easy to make a perfect Lobster tail, especially since it's a delicacy. I would say that Pelicans did a perfect job. The Lobster was cooked just right. It was very tender, delicious, had that slight sweetness you'd hope for, and the side of lemon and butter just increased the experience. You really don't need the butter or lemon, but I like the added flavor. Even the rice under the Lobster was great. It soaked up the butter and dripping flavors while eating the Lobster. The rice made a great addition to the plate. By the time we were all done eating, everyone's plates were cleaned, and everyone was full and happy! Thank you Pelican's for an enjoyable birthday dinner. We will be back for more!
Amazing food and great service! First time eating at Pelicans and I will definitely go back. Lobster tails were big and the steak was tender and cooked perfectly. Salad was super fresh with lots of veggies and the crab stuffed mushrooms were the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.
The Service was basic. I had to keep flagging our waitress for drinks. I had the Monterrey shrimp and I really didn't like it. My wife has the Australian lobster.. nothing to really brag about. Wasn't impressed with this restaurant.
I had a great experience here. Our server Vanessa was very nice, professional and attentive. We ordered the wings and they were delicious, hot, and crispy. Our salads were very fresh. I ordered the crab legs which were outstanding. My fiancée ordered the branzino and it was wonderful as well. Our sides were rice pilaf and the baked mac n cheese both were delightful. I ordered a margarita on the rocks and it was great. Overall a very good experience.
Been a few times now and food has been really good. Have tried both beef and fish dishes and were not disappointed. Making Reservations can be a bit of a mess but walking in has been OK. Staff is friendly and ambiance is nice.
Terrible, first this place looks like it hasn't been updated since the 1980's and a musty smell, I had to return the fish and chips they tasted like they were bought frozen then deep fried, no seasoning, my wife and I then had the fish tacos not much better. The two stars are because of the service if not it would be one, prices do not reflect the quality of the food.
