We call before we go to make sure they have the carb lite, no sugar flavor. It has happened on more than one occassion at more than one Menchie's in town that we are told this option is available, then when arrive it is NOT available. Very frustrating. This does not make me smile.
The patio tables and chairs are all filthy and the whole patio smells like a rancid trashcan. It is 11am so things should be cleaned as they are put out. This is usually our go to in the summer time but I think we will look for something cleaner.UPDATE: the Sunland location was much cleaner yesterday!
I am impressed with their intentionality for cleanliness during COVID.
When we were in the area and wanted some froyo, I felt like this was just the best option. Plenty of parking in the area, just not that much seating for you to enjoy your snack. Menchie's uses the same safety protocols as the others during Covid. They ask you to use disposable gloves that they provide and ask you to mask up ?. The flavors were all of what was expected and the toppings are the same as all the other locations. The ladies here were also polite.

Where else you gonna get popping boba? No where! Worth the trip just for that.
Business must be booming for Menche’s bc they have no problem turning people away who have medical exemptions from wearing a mask, (even though no where else even requires them any more.) They asked to see my son’s Dr note, as if I need to share my son’s medical information with the teenage employee in exchange for yogurt ? no problem, we went down a couple doors to ICE NY and it was delicious. Very weird times to be in.
Business requires everyone to wear a mask, vaccinated or not. We turned around and walked out. Not a sole in the place, obvious why. Went down to their competitors I-CE-NY for the first time. Was absolutely delicious!!!!
I understand COVID protocols but if your customers are vaccinated, why would you require a mask? They ask as soon as you walk in if you have a mask or not, and if you don’t they offer you one for $0.50…. So essentially this business owner is making $0.50 cents off anyone who is most likely already vaccinated. That’s pretty rotten if you ask me. I feel disappointed that the business owner has taken this approach. I understand the whole 6 feet, gloves, and hand sanitizer. I definitely love the gloves because yes that’s a lot more sanitary, but don’t try to make a profit off COVID-19 by selling masks to people who mostly likely are already vaccinated. I also feel terrible for the employees! Telling people to wear a mask can be very unsettling and I know this to be true because I work in retail and people aren’t always friendly about it. Stop putting your employees in danger because you want $0.50. I used all my rewards today and won’t be back until this business owner wakes up and does the right thing. So sad that this is how Menchie’s is going about this.
