I’ve been to this restaurant several times the last 20 years, things I can count on is that there will always be people eating, I’ve always had to wait a bit to be seated and that the food does not disappoint. The food is jam packed with flavor and they also have some delicious margaritas, which are made with wine not tequila! The restaurant itself is filled with pictures of celebrities that have stopped to eat there throughout the years. It’s a nice little gem. Wether you are from El Paso or just visiting, you have to try this restaurant at least once!
Looking for Mexican food while in El Paso seemed like a good idea. I found Kiki's using Google maps and found myself in the booth with Kiki's picture. I was surprised there was a 20 minute wait at 6:45 pm on a Thursday night. But, it has a really friendly vibe and the wait staff are very friendly. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. I would definitely come back here when I'm in El Paso again. I ordered the burrito special.
A ling time wonderful eatery in El Paso. On a recent visit to my hometown I asked friends to take me here. The enchiladas are outstanding. Always busy. The tacos are amazing. The staff is great. An active, noisy vibe full of local aromas. I hated to leave. The food, service and atmosphere is great.
This is definitely a local favorite. My wife and her friends had eaten here literally over several decades. Service was good. The atmosphere was that of a bar/restaurant. My burrito special was nothing to write home about and I would not order it again. It was heavy on the green chili's and cheese (Velveeta?) and light on good flavor. Everyone else in our party enjoyed their meals, so I'll only mark them down a little for my selection. Definitely fits my profile for locally owned!
My first time to visit this authentic Mexican restaurant in old town El Paso. My girlfriend has been going here for years and since we were in the area she convinced me to check this place out. We were seated right away and the restaurant was packed. We met the owner and he allowed me to customize my order onion-free and with a hearty amount of avocado slices per my request. The iced tea was delicious. They were playing MTV type classic pop songs which suited me just fine. Our server was very nice and took great care of us. The food was delicious and you really felt the authenticity of decades of tradition which is one of the reasons we moved back here. The Mexican food is awesome!
I ❤️ the mole crab enchiladas! Tasty and has quite a depth of flavors that complement the dish. I ordered a side of guacamole for an additional kick! Great stuff!
Service: Excellent. Food: Okay. Interior: Practical and Comfortable. Prices: incredibly affordable. Very reliable food quality: when you want to be guaranteed that the dish you want is the dish you get--both in terms of what you expect and what you receive--this is the place. While some have raved about Kiki's crab offerings: they are indeed cooked properly, and they're sufficiently tasty, but they aren't that noteworthy to justify raving about them. Admittedly very disappointed that their green sauce wasn't much of a sauce, and was buried beneath cheese (which took away the sauce entirely, if much was there to begin with). Dishes with cheese tend to be smothered in cheese, which takes away a lot from everything else available flavor-wise. Surprisingly, the cheese isn't overcooked, so there is a welcome gooeyness as diners cut into their food. Unfortunately, entrees that would otherwise taste fresh and light are weighed down by the smothering. Overall, the flavors of the dishes are real, but they get sidelined by everything else tossed in with them: whether it's cheese, or tomatoes in the black beans, or the cheese.
This is my second time around to Kikis El Paso! First time was 2019 during the pandemic and had to go orders only. It wasn't that hot finding gristle 3 time in my Queso smothered chicken fried steak. But I decided to give it a second 'Sit Down' try and dine in! Cause I understand things were hectic for a while. Now me and the wifeys went for Lunch on a Sunday, they have about a 30 minute wait. We got in, the staff severs and hostesses were very nice! I ordered the chicken fried steak with queso again ??! And a crab meat enchilada al la carte. My steak smothered in queso was much better this time, probably could have used a little more spicy kick in the queso but it was good. Now the crab enchilada was a little one the cold side but still warm enough too eat, the sauce was good, not too spicy, good flavor and let the crab shine through!! It was really good. I also ordered a Dos XX Michelada, gave me a tiny glass with some super strong mix in it, definitely need to make a better michelada! But overall it was a good experience and I'd go back! I'd give it a 3.7 out of 5 stars, but with the Crab enchilada really on point we Pushing it to 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars!! I'll post a food video of this on my YouTube Channel, Search Flex Von!! Thank-you
It had been a long while but all the way from Las Cruces NM to enjoy some green Chile cheese fries!!! Great service and management
