Decided to get BBQ at another place. They ended up being closed, so we gave Johnny's a try. Small place with a small menu.The food was delicious, and the women working there were all friendly.Definitely would recommend this place to others.

Here from Colorado Springs CO. visiting my mom in La Mesa NM.As always I have to get my BBQ fix and stop at Johnny's Pit BBQ. The sandwich's and ribs are totally awesome and delicious! The amount of meat that they stack on the sandwich's is well worth the sandwich and price. The sides are also very good which are homemade.A shout out to all the ladies behind the counter who are super,super nice and very customer friendly. Also, kudos to the cooks! I appreciate everyone in what they do!I highly recommended Johnny's Pit BBQ to anyone who is looking for a great BBQ sandwich/ribs!I've also recommended this restaurant to my local friends who live here in the valley.Tommy Chavez

A nice woman owned business with delicious food and kind service. A must have are the pork ribs only available on Saturday after 12:30, but they sell out quick. Potato salad is more close to a mashed potato salad, and it's so f#¢king delicious I always buy a larger serving to take home and enjoy. The Big Johnny is a meaty monster of a sandwich. Anything you get from the menu is going to be delicious.Grab a brownie or three when you're there!
We've been eating at Johnny's since they opened, over 30 years ago, and it was just as good today as it was the first time! Johnny's is a must when I visit from Seattle.
