Food is always delicious! The pernil is always seasoned to perfection and the variety of side dishes is amazing?
We had the appetizer platter, an alcapurria, churrifongo and two desserts. All the fried food was excellent and freshly fried. Alcapurria was just as I remember in the food stands in Piñones. The tres leches was excellent. Topped with real whipped cream. They were out of arroz con gandules when we were there so I will have to come back for that. This place does not disappoint! I will be back for other dishes.Service was great.
Great experience, the food and desserts are amazing.
The one factor that separates Cassava from other Puertorican restaurants in El Paso is consistency. I go once a week and the food is always great! They are consistent in taste and customer service. Hands down the best of el Paso.
Everything I have ever gotten from here is super tasty and authentic. My boyfriend is puerto rican and his family is from the island. With that being said, I do find that it to be overpriced for what it is and the portions. If i didnt know any better I would give it 5 stars.
Food was very delicious. Even my toddler(who is a very picky eater) was tearing up the food. Empanadillas were the best I’ve had so far here in El Paso. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Definitely will be coming back here soon again ?
A Puerto Rican jewel in the desert! We lived in La Isla del Encanto for many years before moving to El Paso. Sorry my beloved Raíces and El Jibarito (Viejo San Juan), La Sirena and even Metropol (Isla Verde), but you have nothing on Cassava’s wonderfully authentic Boricua cuisine. The award winning chef and her husband serve only the best food and pastries here. The appetizer platter was delightful with a perfect assortment of sorrullitos, tostones, maduros, cassava fries, carne frita, etc. And the homemade sauces like chimichurri were awesome touches. We all had the “churrifongo”, or churrasco wrapped around trifongo, bifongo or mofongo. We had some traditional side dishes as well, and were absolutely stunned with the flavor. I am a quesito addict, and took half a dozen home to have with coffee in the mornings. Quesitos from Cassava are the absolute best!
As an older lady, in this time of Covid and with the winter weather, I don't go out much. But I was looking for something " different" and didn't feel like cooking today. I came upon Cassava, and was lucky to do so. The service is professional and superb - above and beyond! The food, including the coffee is flavorful, authentic and reasonably priced. The deserts are in a category unto themselves and will make anyone forget their diet! I will be going back.
1000% recomendado. El ambiente, la calidez con la que te reciben, muy limpio todo, la comida deliciosa, fue nuestra primera vez en este lugar y que damos mas que complacidos con el servicio y la calidad. Gracias y que Dios los bendiga siempre.
First time at a Puerto Rican Restaurant and let me just say everything was delicious! They have great pastries as well. Great service too!
