I was referred to Mega chicken from a co-worker, it's a little Mom and Pop kitchen but the fried chicken is better than Popeyes and Churches I will continue to go here as long as I'm in the RGV area. If they would have had biscuits I would have given five stars.
You know those mom and pop places from the 80s and 90s that you wish still existed and had super good food? This is that place. Trust me. They sell burgers, burritos, fried chicken, and a bunch of other stuff like fries and other sides. Everything is good. But they only take cash. No debit or credit cards. I wish they were open Sundays

Mega chicken was indescribable. I can best describe it in terms of a metaphor; it was like a religious pilgrimage, simply enlightening. Might I add, it cured my asthma
Had the fried fish sandwich an it was fishy soggy an one bite it all fell apart burgers are meh I saw if it's called Mega Chicken stick with the chicken.
The chicken is great, but be prepared to take cash because they don't accept any other type of payment.
It was alright. The "cranky old man" mentioned in some of the other reviews actually wasn't that bad. Just be sure to have cash with you; they do not take cards. The equipment is very old-school, but I guess that's part of the charm. Plus, they actually spoke English.I am uploading a newer picture of their menu. The one on here from 2016 is outdated.

I love this place but I come here for the burgers! They are delicious. Only take cash thought but wont take stars away because its so worth it.
