My experience started when I ordered the chicken only for $13.99. The cashier asked me for the sides and I pointed to the menu which stated chicken only. She persisted the order came with two large sides so I gave in and gave her my two side selection. When I got my receipt I saw that I had been charged for the family meal at $24.00 plus. Not wanting to make a big fuss I went along. When we got home the chicken looked good till we started eating it. The brine or marinade used before grilling gave no flavor to the chicken. The chicken was left on low heat for sometime because it was tough like beef jerky. It is sad to find out that something that used to be very flavorful just lost it.
This place is usually good. One time they insinuated about a missing wing, a wing of all things. The ones they sell are tiny.... and it was missing. They insinuated that they had given me 3 pieces.... and no, they were wrong. Other than that, food is usually good
uncooked, undercooked chicken is never a good thing. the manger was very nice and made a extra effort to make it right but it only takes the experience so far when all you can think about is Am I going to get salmonella from just biting into it not once but twice..
I really do love Pollo Loco and eventhough the food is consistently tasty, the Edinburg location seems to get my order wrong every single time. It has gotten to the point that I try not to leave the drive-thru without checking my order first. Other than that, the food is pretty much always fresh unless you go after 8pm then all bets are off.

Great customer service but the food is bland. Had the chicken breast n wing plate with mac n cheese and rice with flour tortillas. It tasted like food I would get from Idaho. It was my first time going there and was disappointed.
