1st time at this restaurant and there were roaches crawling around on the table. Manager was being very rude when when talked to him about it. Do not recommend.
Went to have breakfast with my family this past weekend and they took over 30 minutes to bring our food the eggs were disgusting poor food presentation & super pricey! Food was gross! Never again!
We got some tickets from a fundraising...We had the chance to select between the guisado plate and some enchiladas.The guisado plate was good, and we'll prepared and flavourful.The enchiladas, I didn't like them... at least not for adults, for children believe they are fine.Maybe, because they were fundraising, the servings seemed very small. We might go some other day to try it.The place was empty, i guess everyone takes their plates home; the staff was friendly.
My plate was dellivered cold. took me 5 minutes to flag down a server (not mine) to address issue. Waiter never checked on us. Carne Guasada was horrible. Will not recommend and never eat there again. $31 and change later for 2 meals at lunchtime.
Used to love this place but it's not the same as it used to be. Ordered a bontan for 4 and most moistly all chips and very little meat. Service was great.
There was yucky smell ike old insulation. The mollejas were 50 percent grease. When we paid they insisted on cash tip that because the business has been accused of not giving the waiters their tips...sounded fishy to me. Won't give there again.
03/21/2022 6:35 pm CST We walked into this place that had an awful stinch a horrible smell. However, we sat down order a coke and water. The menu was like mainly breakfast / tacos .We decided to leave the smell was unbearable and the menu wasn't to our liking.Waiter was nice (star goes to him). They charged us 5.00 for the coke we ordered. Eat at your own risk!!!
The buffet is alrightNothing special about it. My two biggest complaints are 1) The food and 2) The price. For the food complaint, the Frijoles a la Charra tasted sweet. I don't know if that's usually how they make them or what. But they tasted weird being sweet like that. Almost as if the cook mixed up the sugar and salt containers. I added salt and lime to see if they would taste better but nope. They were still sweet. Very unusual for a Mexican restaurant in the Valley to have frijoles charros like that.For the price, the buffet came out to almost $17(rounded up) with a Mexican soda. Which seems very pricey. I had called earlier and the lady had told me it was $11.99 with a drink. I'm assuming maybe just a fountain drink. So they charge something like $4 for a Mexican soda? Which is absolutely insane. Well.. there's a first for everything I guess. Either they charged me more than regular or the buffet/Mexican sodas are more expensive than I was told. Either way it's my last time going there. Paying almost $20 for 1 buffet is dumb. Not worth it. Maybe if the food was phenomenal then sure I could justify it. But it wasn't. The one thing that was really good was their corn tortillas. Authentic homemade corn tortillas. The rest of the buffet was okay. No more and no less. The frijoles charros were terrible. The waitress was great and very attentive.
Ordered a botana for four they gave us a one for 2 and still charged us for 4 when I called back I spoke to a waitress name Melanie and said the manager was unavailable she assured me that they would fix my order I called back two days later to have my order fixed and spoke with the manager he insisted I pay for a Botana for two and he would give me a Botana for four I did not wanna pay extra money at a restaurant they had already messed up my initial order the manager was very rude and insisted that I needed to pay for a Botana for 2 to get my botana for 4 … I will never return back to this place and I suggest anybody reading this does the same los Comales in Edinburg has horrible service and management . If zero stars were available I would have given a 0
Went to the restaurant restroom really dirty not enough variety of food, no dessert had to ask the waitress to refill the drink. $15.00 bar food not a buffet also food cold. I went before the pandemic and got sick. I know it was closed since pandemic and a lot of business tried to survive but small portions and hot food will help. Today caldo pollo, res not enough meat just water and meat very tough.
