Food was good. Seasoned very well. The drinks were on point and strong. My reason for three stars is because we waited an hour for our food and they literally forgot about us. A random worker was cleaning up and we had to ask him about our food. we were only served once from a waitress that was not our waitress. Overall this won't stop me from supporting the business. I'll try again.
The lady who took the orders was really nice. The food wasn't bad, however, they the food was definitely overpriced. The price does not match the quantity. They charged me $18 for two chops and no side. I thought it came with a side, but it didn't according to what I was told. On top of that I didn't get everything I ordered and the lady told me she was not able to give me a refund on the missing item, but instead a store credit.
Last year as Pandemic continued I was Exposed to likely the 2nd Best Gumbo this Cajun had ever had in his 50+ yrs!!!Yesterday's was not so good though...likely in the lower 25%. I ordered the large to go...disappointed on size, but more disappointed it was not anywhere close to last years quality.Last year 6* review was perfectly spiced for heat enthusiast like myself, but not too much for my family to try. Funny, my Hostesses ladies year said "your going to wish you had the large!" when I ordered the cup. They were very correct...I was literally kicking the Bowl to get any droplet left. But yesterday I almost wish I didn't order it at all. But with all bad there needs to be some good to balance...I had already agreed to share half with my wife...so I didn't eat it all.Great amount of seafood, chicken & sausage. But yesterday's batch was watery, not too tasty, but did have an good amount of proteins. Will surely try again...as last year's was ONLY beat a High End Cajun Restaurant in NOLA.
I didn't care for the taste of their cat fish at all. I got two cat for $14. which looks like strips and $10. for 6pc lemon pepper wing which in my opinion takes better than ......First time there. They don't sell catfish steaks. So I know I won't be returning. Would I recommend NO.
I haven't had the chance to eat here yet, my first time there I played a gig. The atmosphere was awesome! People eating good food, people getting up and dancing and people sing along. I will be back and I must try the food!
We've been visiting Thibodeaux's Restaurant on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays for the last 4 years; since we moved to DFW area. The entertainment and customer service are normally excellent, until last night. The new waitress was inexperienced, fairly slow, and not properly trained.It took her 4 tries to get our drinks and food, and we eventually cancelled/changed our drink orders.The $5 entertainment fees are not consistent or advertised. There's times when my bill has a $5 entertainment fee, but other times not charged. And, other customers at my table are not charged for the entertainment fee (pick and choose - i.e. if we order our food at the front entrance and/or order our drinks at the bar, and pay as we order, no entertainment fees charged; even if we dine-in. However, if we order our food or drinks from the waitress/waiter before/during happy hours, but decide not to stay for the entertainment band, we're still charged the entertainment fee).Recommend proper training for employees and inventory kept up-to-date. Entertainment fees charged/advertised at the door to give the customers an option to pay and stay for the entertainment bands. Or, waiter/waitress ask the customers if they'll be staying for the entertainment band.
I have been going to Thibodeaux's Cajun Cooking with friends for a few years on Tuesday or Thursday to enjoy live band dinner and drinks. This past Thursday December 30, 2021, a friend and I had been there a few hours enjoying dinner, drinks and The Front Cover Band. At the start of the 2nd set of the band the owner of Thibodeaux's comes over and tells us we have to move. She stated the table was reserved and the guest are just now showing up hours late she didn't know they were still coming, and we have a table for you in the back. Well, #1 there was never a reserved sign on the table if it was reserved which I don't believe and there was never any acknowledgement of an apology. People always say support your black business, but this is a blatant example of why folks don't support black businesses we don't know how to treat our customers who keep the business going. From this point on I will continue to bad mouth this place every chance I get no wonder the business has fell off NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Princess thank you for making my night! This was my first time out since Covid! I had a blast. Drinks, food and entertainment- I will be back!
This is a nice after work, mix and mingle restaurant bar. The service is slow most days. I enjoy going here for drinks but they really need to improve or train the bartenders better. The food use to be good but now it’s always a send it back or they give you a salad but ran out of dressing. I would love to eat here again if the cooks step it up.
My husband and I went here for Sunday dinner. (It was suggested by a friend)Our first impression… Very Clean! The cashier (Donna) was very friendly and welcoming. She suggested I order the combo meal since I was so indecisive. I ordered the catfish & wings combo. My husband ordered 20 wings and onion rings. ( lemon pepper & hot flavored) I must say the catfish was fried perfectly! Crispy & flavored to perfection! My husband onion rings was so good, I ate a couple and wanted more. He said“ the seasoning on the wings was exquisite!” We will eat here again. He suggest we dine-in next time we visit.
