Food was fresh, affordable, and good. Everything tasted fantastic.
The guy who fixed our food was excellent on Father's day. We are from Houston and Texas City. Was looking for Luby's and we found it. Thanks!!!! He said he was not a father but wish my husband a Happy Father's day.
The dining room had such a perfumed cleaning smell I couldn't smell my food. People were nice and polite. That smell was burnt into my nose until the next day. Could not eat but a few bites of my plate. It was all tasting like that smell.
Very clean restaurant. Employees are very courteous. We got chicken fried chicken, baked almondine fish and fried fish. Entrees and veggies were delicious. A waitress refilled our drinks and checked on us frequently.
This location can't even get a simple doordash order correct! They substituted both my sides even after the dasher called me and told them what I wanted when they were only out of one side. They didn't even get it correct. Please do better!
We stopped by on our way home. I just grabbed a salad and hubby had the Luann Platter. It was pretty good. The employees are still wearing masks. Everyone was courteous. The dining room was open, but it was pretty empty. They also didn't have the TV monitors on.
Great food and employees. Tyan was a great waiter. We thought he was taking to long to bring a roll back; however, he was waiting on a fresh baked roll for us. That is great service. Make sure when give promotion and raises include his name to move up.
We visited this Luby's today. The service was absolutely AWFUL. The food was cold, the rolls were injury hard. Our area was extremely nasty, and the worker a "Spanish lady in her 50's just kept walking by the mess instead of cleaning it up. No WORRIES we will never make this mistake again. At least NOT at this location.
I love Luby's and there are not as many locations left these days. This location in particular has the best liver & onions during Sunday lunch. Well all the other food was also excellent. I did see some tasty looking deserts as well but we usually fill up on the meal and did not get deserts. So many good food choices at great prices. We visit Luby's fairly often. It's nice that everyone can pick what they see and like so everyone is happy. Great place to bring kids and grand kids as well.
I ordered a pan of chicken tetrazinni for our SoulMates Couple's Fellowship. When I arrived at the restaurant, my order was ready for me to pick-up and serve. Mr. Williams and the staff are always on point. Great food and service. Thanks Luby's of DeSoto!
