Thai Ocha is consistently delicious! My husband has Pad Thai every time and I have had most of the menu we are NEVER disappointed. (Try the fresh rolls...so yummy!!) Staff is always very accommodating and nice. The only reason I give 4 stars is because it is a bit outdated, a/c intake could be cleaned of dust, and it tends to be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Despite those things, which can easily be dismissed with good company, Thai Ocha is definitely a gem of Denton!
Food is great! We have ordered multiple times for family get togethers and through out Covid!!! The last time we ordered they messed up our order (not the first time). We were willing to over look the error. Because it had happened several times we asked why!!! The young woman who waited on us was so very rude that we will NEVER go back!!!
[5/16/2022][$12] My awful beef dish was served on a broken plate. How lazy and cheap does the restaurant has to be to serve food like that. This restaurant probably cuts a lot of corners. My dish had that off putting bland frozen flavor in beef and vegetable ingredients. It had zero Thai flavor or any flavor. This food was below Chinese buffet or cheap hole-in-the-wall Chinese joint level. It is as if something bad is happening at the kitchen.I didn’t and couldn’t finish my food. What a disappointment and embarrassment. How can they serve Thai food like that? No wonder I saw no Asians in this restaurant. My companion who brought us here told me that his previous experience was decent but not on this day. His food wasn’t good either. The previous reviewers gave glowing review like they never had better Thai food before this one. I must came here on its worst day. This restaurant has 100 items on its menu. This is down right bad sign. Don’t even go to a restaurant of this size that has 100 items on its menu. It is a bad sign. How can they keep all that inventory without them going bad or taste very frozen. Just awful. Just don’t.
BEST Thai in Denton, but I've noticed they must have changed something with how they make their crispy spring rolls. Last few times, over the last couple of months, the inside is VERY cold. Like still very chilled even though the wrapper is obviously freshly fried. Makes me wonder if they have started freezing them ahead of time and so the inside doesn't get heated through. Fix that and it's back to 5 stars! :)
Some of the best Thai curry in DFW. Ordered on a whim when visiting a friend in Denton. I had green curry and he had lettuce wraps. We were both thrilled with our entrees. I’ve ordered from them several times and taken it back to Fort Worth as well. It makes great leftovers too.
The tom kha soup is amazing! Love the fried rice and the pad Thai. You can choose your spice level too! The sticky rice with egg custard is a great dessert.
Thai Ocha is simply the best Thai dining in Denton
Food was good but service was better. Both wait staff worked well together.
Love the food. Always hot and fresh. Great prices. If you are looking to get away from the chain restaurants and want a nice quite dinner where you can talk to the people at your table without having to yell to be heard over the "background night club music". This is the place, I didn't feel rushed, I could enjoy my food and company. Will definitely go back. I found my new favourite Asian restaurant ?
One of my favorite places to eat in Denton, hands down. The veggie fresh rolls have a super tasty peanut sauce, the pineapple fried rice was stellar, the black rice pudding was absolutely delicious, everything was beautiful, and our server was absolutely lovely. Super kind and did a great job, very patient with us, communicated well, we appreciated when they checked in with us, felt very well taken care of. Thank you so much
