The overall decor was outdated, and left much to be desired. However, food was standard diner style (but taste was lacking). The chicken fried steak was obviously frozen and flash fried. The waffle’s temp left me thinking that it was pre-made and left in a heated drawer. Shockingly the fresh squeezed orange was incredible (it tasted like it was squeezed moments prior).
I discovered this place when I tried to order from Door Dash, but Door Dash screwed up my order and they never picked my order up! So we decided, next time we'll have to try in person.So this was was our 1st time to go to Stacks Pancake House.We were quickly greeted, seated and attended to. I quickly noted what happened previously, and the Hostess said "You'll enjoy it even more in person." She was right ?Carson was our Server and she was great from start to finish. We had 2 unsweet teas, fresh OJ which was awesome, cheese omelette with hashbrowns/biscuit and a Denver omelette with hashbrowns/toast, and 2 pancakes as our dessert. In most places I go for eggs Benedict, but I wanted to try something different.Everything was great! The biscuits were a little different than what I usually have, yet so good! They had a crispiness to them that was delish. I'd call up just for a dozen of those!I commented to my guy that everything had a good down home taste to it, not commercial taste.They had a good selection on the menu for breakfast and lunch. They even have Turkey Bacon. YumI don't know how long they've been open, but we'll definitely be back before we move.We actually finished everything!
my plate it was dirty. I showed them the dirty plate the manager said she personally made my food. I said but I’m not eating on a dirty plate. The plate had red stuff on it but I didn’t have red food. We looked on the bottom of the bowl and it had dried up ketchup on it. I refused to eat and asked for a refund. The manger snatched the plate and said first of all I should have read the sign before I ordered because they have a no refund policy. They did not give me a receipt I had to go back to the counter to get a receipt and I called my bank to dispute the charge. She called the police and had them ask me to leave saying I was a disturbance. I was sitting in my seat talking to my bank not causing a disturbance at all. I left and finished my call to my bank in the car. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone.
With Stacks, of Pancakes House, I have to say that when coming here, I just couldn't help but witness that love and warmth that really filled that place coming from several of the most beautiful lovely waitresses especially Jonette, Perry, Susie, and Chrissy. The food that we ate was really good because that friendly gentleman named Roy, really took his job seriously!! This is just a unique restaurant that we will never forget!So thank you for your hard earned efforts to make these services friendly, right down to the core, considering how warmhearted these waitresses are, with Roy being just as friendly! We love being with you all, and again, THANKS FOR THE FRIENDSHIPS WITH STACKS!

Food was great and at a good price and must try their fresh squeezed orange juice. It was only second to the staff. Our waitress was awesome and made us feel welcome. First time here and will come back as often as possible.
I had the corned beef hash, which did not taste canned, unlike many other restaurants in Denton. Also, a fantastic pineapple upside down pancake that was exactly what I'm looking for and didn't know it.
Take the time and go. Service was fast, good prices, and food is great. Selection of pancakes is fun for kids.

The food is great the staff was so cool. I noticed their teamwork if they saw another table needed something they handled it and it wouldn't even be their section IHOP and Denny's need to get a clue. Definitely my breakfast spot from now on.
