I came in with my son who is super picky and they accommodated him and they were really cool about it. I just told them to surprise me on my sandwich. I have no idea what they gave me but it was killer. 10/10 recommend!!!! If anyone is in Denton don't pass this place up. It give you dive bar vibes but everyone here is chill and the atmosphere is relaxed. We are totally coming back.
This place is not what I consider a chain restaurant - it is unique. Great staff, efficient service and the venue is decked out in street/subway signs and New York related newspaper articles. Plenty to look at and discuss.The location also has a side area that is tucked away, quiet and less traffic.The parking is real tight in the front, there is parking in the back. Careful, some of the sandwich bread has hard crust spots, like taping on a Turtle Shell, which made part of the sandwich uncomfortable to eat. The sandwiches were still outstanding.
This is one of my favorite sandwich places but the past two times I have come I had a bad experience. I usually come here all the time and get the same thing, but I had my first bad experience a few weeks ago, I got rock hard bread on my sandwich. This wouldn't have been a big deal, but i always order togo, and didn't notice until I was home. Then, the last time I came, the lady who was taking my order was clearly stressed out, which i get, but i have seen it way more busy than it was, there was like 2 customers other than me. I have a dairy allergy, and told her no cheese, but then discovered after eating half of my sandwich that there was cheese on it (the cheese is white and melted into the bread). I was very sick that night into the next day.

This place is a must try in Denton. Great staff and venue with a feeling of home for New Yorkers. The place is decked out in street signs and the tables have laminated coins for the subways in New York. The food is amazing and inexpensive. Home run.
Had the number 7 it was delicious my wife had the 29 first time she tried it she said it was good my son had the number 15 every thing was fresh and delicious staff was helpful and friendly highly recommended if looking for a awesome sandwich this the place.
Probably one of the best sandwich shops I've been to, my recommendations is the pizza sub with the parm and oregano. Great service!

We attended UNT in the 1985 timeframe and were passing through Denton and decided to stop at New York Sub. This place has not changed at all. Still the best subs at very reasonable prices. The building has not changed either. It was like going back to our old college days. Great job guys. You are still my favorite subs. Please don’t change. This is one nice college memory for folks.
So good. Definitely NY Sub quality. Quality meat, quality vegetables, quality bread. My daughter usually doesn't finish all of her food but did eating a kids sub.
